Oh my.

Looks like somebody has leaked copies of the proposed policy resolutions for next week’s mouthbreather Conservative Party convention, boys and girls.

One can only hope that this gets Big Daddy's Spiderman Underoos© in the bunchiest of bunches.

What the hell? I love this on page 9 of 90:

"A Conservative Government will consider changes to electoral systems, including proportional representation, the single transferable ballot, fixed election dates ..."

Excuse me? Fixed election dates? I could have sworn ...

That is a truly nauseating and hypocritical document. From page one, and proposed by the Caucus Committee:

" iv) ensure the security of our nation's borders and the safety of our citizens at home and abroad;"

Yeah ... your Stephen Harper Party of Canada -- ensuring the safety of Canadian citizens abroad, unless they're imprisoned child soldiers. Or brown people in general.

I'm sure Dr. Dawg would like to expand on this clause, wouldn't you, Doc?

ensure ... the safety of our citizens at home

Except when they're eating, of course.

I would like to know the real reason why this was leaked.

The beauty is that these are rough drafts... You can see the original text they wanted to edit is struck through. The edits are bold and underlined.

Their edits of the homelessness stuff is pretty sick.

The proposed amendments are what we should be looking at--the stuff in the boxes is existing (2005) Con policy.

For example, page 9 of 90 states existing Con policy--the proposed amendment is to delete references to electoral reform, although it keeps those ol' fixed election dates...

I'll have a go at that safety and security bit, CC.
