She's pissed ...
... and she ain't gonna take it anymore: Openly gay musician Melissa Etheridge tells the state of California to fuck right off. You go, girl.
P.S. And, apparently, the Mormon Church is learning that being discriminatory assholes has consequences.

Too bad California's not 19th Century Missouri.
...hey, I think I'm getting the hang of this "refer to genocide obliquely" thing.
Oops. Guess I shouldn't have written that last bit.
vw: (NO LIE!) "gasmsy"
Tsk, tsk ... it appears "hope and change" applies only to certain people.
Let's not forget, the Mormons only bankrolled the hate. It's the voters of California who expressed it. There's plenty of blame to go around.
I can't believe those assholes talking about "Mormon bashing."
I've got an idee'r. Let's have a proposition to say that Mormons can't marry.
Sure the adherents of that religion can rut together, if they must, if they can't control their urges. But people who believe in the book of Mormon are obviously incapable of human love.
What? Does that sound insulting and dehumanizing? Now you know how homosexuals feel.
I think the tax angle taken by Melissa E. should be expanded. So many incredibly wealthy religious organizations have, over the last few decades, subtly eroded the church-state separation. Need money? Present a bill to these groups with an organization breaking bill for present and demonstrably provable past taxes. It should make up the difference that Melissa’s and other gay folks non-payment of taxes by many factors. Time to take church-state separation to the courts, folks. Sue the bastards into keeping their fucking beliefs to themselves.
