Dear CBC (and others): Stop interviewing Trumpists. Just. Stop.

I would humbly like to offer some advice to the yammering blowhards at CBC (and elsewhere) who seem to think they have an obligation to keep interviewing the screeching, rage-filled Trump cultists who are still whining about fraudulent, stolen elections and the like, and it's this:

Stop.

Just. Fucking. Stop.

There is no value in hearing what these people have to say. None. We know they're livid, and outraged, and crazed with grief, but there is absolutely no value in pointing this out over and over and over and over.

Just. Fucking. Stop.

We know they're upset but -- and here's the really important part you seem to miss -- they're upset for absolutely no valid reason. They're upset, not because they have a point, but because they're ignorant, uneducated racists and bigots and white nationalists. We get that. Really, we get that.

There is no journalistic value in putting these people on the air. No one with a functioning brain stem gives the slightest fuck what they think, since what they think is idiotic. Stop giving these loons air time, and just leave them to rant at the clouds in peace. Stop giving them oxygen. If they need media coverage, I'm sure Rex Murphy and the National Post are available, but there is nothing "fair and balanced" about giving nuanced and thoughtful punditry equal time with deranged, frothing madness.

Please. I'm begging you. Just fucking stop.
