When truly stupid people try to do arithmetic.

Canada's Littlest Douchebag Kathy Shaidle once again proves an embarrassment to her immediate family:

No, Kathy ... 50 per cent of any set would be below the median, not the average, a bit of trivia known by those of us who are not truly stupid.

This has been another installment of "Why Wankers Shouldn't Try Math."

Also the point of emotional intelligence, as I understand it, isn't that the kid who can't add or doesn't understand novel forces etc etc gets to be a doctor or an engineer, it's that the kid who can't do those things isn't labeled a loser, kicked out of school and gets a chance to find out what he/she is really really good at and finds a meaningful career in that.

Or is that bad now?

Liar! IQ is a measure of "intelligence units." 0 means you have no IU's and 200 means you have all of them. And 100 is average, 'cause when you add up the IQ's of the entire population and divide by the number of people, you get an average....an a-vo-rage...not a median.

And don't give me any of this ordinal data crap. Everyone knows the evil Muslins invented that. 'Nuff said.

Anyway, the other irony is little Miss Bitch even mentioning emotional intelligence. The most striking feature about her and the man she's currently playing house with is how juvenile they both are.

I'm heartened to see that she's still actually writing (well, sort of). The only think on her site seems to be ads for Microsoft (her lead post for the last two days), ads for her "I won't post it here, you have to read it where they pay me" pieces, and orgasmic, shuddering references to anything nice that anyone, anywhere, said once about her.

*yeesh* Glad I've never said anything nice about her. I'd hate to have that after glow on my conscience. I'd never stop showering...

ah but ti, those showers would be golden.

:-)

I like the British term "golden rain" better.

One may refer to median, mean, or even other values as the average. Please don't "yes, but" me; if you're going to quibble you're going to get quibbled. Surely you can find better things to write about.

Says who?

"if you're going to quibble you're going to get quibbled."

there's no quibbling "by definition".
