Glenn Beck, Reality. Reality, Glenn Beck.

It’s obvious -- to the not fucking crazy people -- that you two have never met.

Look at it this way. If Glenn Beck had used this schtick when he was still on CNN, it would have been a copyright infringement. But now that he's on Fair & Balanced, he has the right to used Fox material. The shame of it all is that FEMA's never going to disappear Glenn Beck.

The lunacy and "fear factor" over at Fox these days is just insane. Beck is actually starting to make the rest of the clowns over there look stable and reasonable by comparison...

By the way, with reference to that link, the FEMA camps story isn't just a "right-wing conspiracy" it's quite non-partisan in its craziness. I had a running argument with a number of far-left crackpots at AAR about this after Katrina. They were calling them "Bush concentration camps" at the time.

Count yourself lucky you've only had Beck to deal with this morning.

First thing in my inbox this morning was a message from a friend on tour in Europe. It contained a google video link to Alex Jones' latest magnum opus 'documentary', The Obama Deception.

Yep, conspiracy nuts & flakes for breakfast.

wv = "hinas", a personal posterior region which Alex Jones can pucker up and kiss.

FEMA camps? Wow, I haven't heard that tall tale since the Clinton years. Everything old is new again!

Chet, well there were some during the Katrina mess, and there seems to be some serious problems with them (evictions and security etc) but this idea that people are going to be rounded up never really does seem to die eh?

...he has proclaimed repeatedly that the Obama administration's economic policies are pushing the country into "totalitarianism' and that he "cannot debunk" the existence of the camps, ... which Beck claims will be used soon for mass imprisonment of American citizens with right-leaning political views..."

Remember the right wing rule "Whatever we accuse our enemies of doing, is what we in fact have done or would like to do."

I haven't found a single exception to the rule yet. It's a handy orientation device, like a Boy Scout compass.

Similar, but not as iron-clad, is this rule: "Whatever noble goal we claim we are working towards, will be in actuality the goal we are working hard to prevent."

My favourite part was the comment from the filmmaker whose Project912.com domain - a platform for his big SF series / multimedia project about a secret alien conspiracy - has been inundated by Glenn Beck fans looking for Beck's flakey Project 912.

The world is a strange, strange place.
