Dear CDNBA: Bite me. Again.

Another year, another incarnation of the Canadian Blog Awards, and another request to please delete CC HQ from any and all categories in which we've been nominated for a fairly simple reason -- we're not interested in any popularity contest in which voters seriously have to choose between CC HQ and batshit crazy, racist, white supremacist, Nazi sympathizer loons like Kate McMillan and Kathy Shaidle for "best blog."

The day the CDNBA can run a contest sanely is the day we'll reconsider. Until then, thanks, but we'd rather run our nads over a cheese grater than share a ballot with those shrieking, hate-filled, homophobic, anti-Semitic harlots.

P.S. LuLu is welcome to come up with her own metaphor. Or is that a simile?

It's definitely a metaphor -- a simile requires the usage of "like or "as".

And while the whole "nads over a cheese grater" may not apply (hello ... girrrlllll), it sums up my feelings about being forced to compete against the crazy just fine -- thanks but no thanks.

P.S. If I was interested in popularity contests, I'd hardly be blogging here. I'm just sayin'.

and as an aside, thanks to those that thought to nominate us for things. that's all the award we need.

Geez, I feel so cheap now for pimping my blog. ;)

LOL I can relate to your disdain. It's not misplaced, but methinks thou doth protest over much...

Just sayin'

Well, some people understand principle and then stand on it.

Ouch! Yes, indeed.

I'd just really like to see them control for IP addresses from US Wingnuts. Seriously, it only takes a small number of them to skew the results.

Well, if that looks like becoming a problem, you could always appeal to PZ's army of flying monkeys....

Your gratitude about the hard work the volunteers did for the awards is duly noted. Enjoy your cesspool, as per usual. The rest of us will enjoy the inclusive side of the blogosphere.

Douchebags.

Ah, Raphael concern trolls along to scold CC about... well, not appreciating something or other. Because it's fearfully important to... say or do something... of some kind. Whatever.

But if it makes you feel better, Raph: thanks for that totally irrelevant work, volunteers!

Meanwhile, why don't we talk about the great steps forward the Feminist Blog category is taking this year?

Enjoy the stupid side of the blogosphere, Raph. You must be so happy to be where you really belong.

Dear Raphael (if that's really your name):

*Yawn*.

Now be a good little mouthbreather and run along -- I'm sure you have some feminists to blame for something.

Yours in perpetual disdain,
LuLu
