Great minds think alike, fools seldom differ.

White House Spokesdouchebag Dana Perino only wants to talk about the good news since the bad news is, you know, such a downer and everything:

Q: And one more. You mentioned that there are health benefits to climate change. Could you describe some of those?

MS. PERINO: Sure. In some cases, there are — look, this is an issue where I’m sure lots of people would love to ridicule me when I say this, but it is true that many people die from cold-related deaths every winter. And there are studies that say that climate change in certain areas of the world would help those individuals. There are also concerns that it would increase tropical diseases and that’s — again, I’m not an expert in that, I’m going to let Julie Gerberding testify in regards to that, but there are many studies about this that you can look into.

Well, at least you know where Canada's Lowest Common Denominatrix™ is getting her talking points:

It Was 21C In Saskatoon Today

Warmer winters, wetter summers, and now - deader rodents.

I'm failing to see the downside in this.

Canada's Small Dead Animals -- when you're idea of "long-term planning" involves deciding between delivery or take-out.

Yeah...poor people who can't afford housing and who freeze to death.

What the fuck is this twit talking about?

With luck maybe a west nile virus infected mosquito that will be breeding like crazy because of the warmer wetter conditions will bite her and she'll freaking die. Then we won't have to listen to her prattling anymore.

Oh and wingnuts, if you're going to quote this as some example of 'liberal hate speech', first make sure you quote it entirely and accurately. Second, if your buddies Coulter, Malkin, Savage, Limbaugh and OReilly can say shit like that so can we. I'm tired of playing nicey with you freaks while the world burns around us.

What is the matter with Dana Perino. We've known for more than a century that people from colder climates are more intelligent, moral, industrious and Christian than people from the hotter areas of the world. The cold climate brings out the best in people and warm climates bring out the worst. If she keeps this up, someone willhave to rewrite the text books.

1 degree C. Thats all, just a single degree, worldwide, as an average, increase.

There will still be cold weather, still be cold weather deaths, still be heat waves, still be heat wave caused deaths.. None of that will change, drastically.

The changes from GCW are going to be much less drastic, but have a much more dangerous eventuality. Rising sea levels, changes in oceanic temperatures that change weather patterns around the world, creating massive droughts, flooding and other extreme weather related events.

So Small-Dead-Idiots wants Canadian beaches and a breadbasket type weather system? Just another example of how "conservatives" are the village idiots of the world.

What scientists are predicting wetter summers for Saskatchewan resulting from global warming?

The scientific research I have heard about this predicts southern Saskatchewan will be a much drier place. Increased temperatures will result in higher rates of evaporation - bad news for dry grassland. I've seen predictions of desertification.

The scientists looked for locations in North America with temperatures a few degrees warmer than Sask's, and Sask's current rate of precipitation. They found desert country in the Western US states.
