And the spectacular meltdown of Tom DeLay continues.

Yes, there's nothing like threatening federal judges to cement your position in the nutbar fringe of the "law and order" party. Any bets on whether any members of the GOP will act like civilized human beings and call DeLay to task for his thuggery? Oh, yeah, like that's going to happen.

DeLay said that they will need to answer for their behavior (Accountable are we all).

In what way is that a threat of physical violence?

You people need some meds.

The way it's a threat is based on the recent violence against judges or judges' families, not to mention the numerous incidents of people talking about committing such acts of violence.

Given the obvious hair trigger some of these people have, and the fact that they're more than willing to take the law into their own hands, it's unbelievably irresponsible for anyone -- much less a member of Congress -- to start making veiled threats against members of the judiciary.

And even if you don't accept this logic, it's still meaningless to suggest that judges will have to "answer for their actions." They're judges, they're meant to be independent from political pressure. What could it possibly mean to say they'll have to "answer for their actions"?

No one's fooled by DeLay's tap dancing and weaseling, just as no one's fooled by your aw-shucks, what's the big deal? act.
