Na na na na ... hey heeee-eyyyyy ...

... goodbye!!

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The Rev. D. James Kennedy, a pioneering megachurch pastor who became one of the nation's most prominent Christian broadcasters and a key figure in the rise of the religious right, died Wednesday, a church spokesman said. He was 76.

Let us all observe a minute of ... CELEBRATION!

I will try to control the tears.

Loved the 70s choreography! Got a charge out of the audience more though - note the folks choking and batting away the smoke effects on the right and the half stoned fellow clapping languidly on the left!!

So KOOL!!

Thanks for the upper, CC.

Kennedy was a former Arthur Murray dance instructor... how quaint.

Who's next in the Evangelical Dead Pool? Maybe Pat Robertson will be crushed in a horrific 2,000 lb. bench-pressing mishap. Quite a Pythonesque way to go, I'd say.

Do you seriously think your claims against me are going to have any credibility when you post stuff like this? Seriously?

What’s wrong with being gleeful about the passing of a hateful bigot? I think Christopher Hitchens still has a certain amount of credibility and he was quite delighted at the death of Jerry Falwell. What did he say? Oh, yes… here it is:

The empty life of this ugly little charlatan proves only one thing, that you can get away with the most extraordinary offenses to morality and to truth in this country if you will just get yourself called reverend. Who would, even at your network, have invited on such a little toad to tell us that the attacks of September the 11th were the result of our sinfulness and were God's punishment if they hadn't got some kind of clerical qualification?

People like that should be out in the street, shouting and hollering with a cardboard sign and selling pencils from a cup. The whole consideration of this -- of this horrible little person is offensive to very, very many of us who have some regard for truth and for morality, and who think that ethics do not require that lies be told to children by evil old men, that we're -- we're not told that people who believe like Falwell will be snatched up into heaven, where I'm glad to see he skipped the rapture, just found on the floor of his office, while the rest of us go to hell.

He also pricelessly remarked that “"If you gave him an enema, you could bury him in matchbox." Still a columnist for Slate, an editor of Vanity Fair and a bestselling author I believe. Now, what was your argument again, Richard?

NAMBLA-obsessed Richard Evans's point is that CC is as morally degenerate as he himself is.

And odd proposal to venture about oneself, but refreshingly revealing nontheless.

Ti-Guy — It’s hard to believe that Richard could run for public office with that kind of baggage.

Also, what the hell is he talking about when he refers to CC’s “claims”? They’re not “claims” — they’re FACTS, for christsake. Even right this moment that stupid page directs people to NAMBLA after however many seconds and that’s entirely due to the deliberate malfeasance of Richard Evans.

Perhaps his would-be fellow city counselors would be pleased to know that should they rub him the wrong way about this or that issue, he might well pull the same shitty little stunt with them — all in the name of so-called conservative principles, “free speech” and what not.

Why don't you send them an e-mail RT?

It's not my place to do that and I really have little interest in your affairs or how you go about dealing with things. Perhaps if I still lived in Calgary, I might be a whole lot more concerned about the matter and be more inclined to make it my business. As a somewhat interested observer looking at things from a distance, I just can't help but wonder how they would feel about your willingness to engage in that sort of reprehensible behaviour.

Richard, why don't you send them a pre-emptive email disclosing all of the most juvenile, hateful tidbits you've ever posted, so that you have no remaining secrets? It would take some doing, I grant that. But you might sleep better.

Richard. Shut up.
