Thanks, Star.

In honour of Canada's pseudo-scientific quack Minister of Science Gary Goodyear, the Toronto Star brings you, well, more pseudo-scientific quackery.

I guess it seemed funny at the time.

Still, I think it's kind of irrational for Phil Plait to assert that "Canada slips further into goofiness" based on this tiny nugget of twaddle published by a lazy reporter in The Toronto Star.

I mean, despite foundations, "colleges," large-circulation print publications, book publishers and giant teevee and radio networks in the US dedicated to the promotion of all kinds of pseudo-science, propaganda and disinformation, I don't always suggest that what's presented there reflects the essence of America.

...even though it does.
