But he’s really super. He is, he is, he is!

Dear Ambassador Wilkins:

With all due respect, are you fucking kidding me?

"Many Canadians might be surprised by this statement," Wilkins told The Canadian Press. "But I would submit to you that Canadians are going to miss George Bush more than they think they are."

I would submit that you have your head up your ass if you honestly think that the Boy Emperor and, more importantly, his divisive policies will be missed for one second by anyone who is capable of rational thought.

But it gets better.

And he says the continent is a safer place thanks to George W. Bush. "He has protected North America. There has been no attack on North America since 9-11 and I think he deserves a lion's share of credit for that," Wilkins said.

Considering that 9-11 occurred on Dubya's watch and perhaps, just perhaps, could’ve been prevented had he, you know, listened to his security advisers, I hardly think that’s a ringing endorsement.

I’m just sayin’.

Yours in endless amusement,
LuLu

Poor, misunderstood, unappreciated George -- it's the new right-wing talking point.

Ambassador Cracker must be hitting the hillbilly heroin hard these days.

Lets see, two wars, lass of rights and a financial meltdown approaching 1929 proportions.

Yeah, I feel safer than under Clinton.

What an idiot. He ranks up there with Celluci.

"He said that the softwood-lumber dispute was resolved thanks to Bush's work with the Canadian government."

Talk about inventing history. The dispute was "resolved" thanks to Harper pussying out. Alternatively, it would have been resolved (in our favour) a few days later thanks to US courts.

Bush? George W. Bush? I can't recall the name.

And besides, the statement "There has been no attack on North America since 9-11" is not actually true. Anthrax, anyone?

This is a Sarah-type problem. A Lisa, Rona, or Titsy Guergis-type problem. Adverse selection. All conservatives have this problem.

Don't be so cryptic, Seer. I'm intellectually exhausted.

What is it with these courtiers who seem to be able to make completely counter-intuitive, counter-factual assertions without the slightest indication of shame or irony?

Canada has been safe from significant terrorism since, well, pretty much forever. That additional buildings haven't been *hurt* in the US in the last eight years is meaningless, compared to the hundreds of thousands of deaths that are directly related to this corrupt "war on terrorism."

To be honest, I am gonna miss The Decider a little bit. He was a useful symbol as Everything That Is Wrong With The Universe. Now who am I gonna blame? Who's the bad guy? It was never black and white, but he was a useful shorthand.

I won't miss him. He's been a distraction, drawing attention away from the real malefactors. I hope (but have no real expectation) that Americans won't see this as simply "time to move on," but will, at the same time, make some real attempt to hold as many people accountable as possible. Otherwise, the same crew will be back, wiser, 4 to 8 years from now.

But then, this is where the Democrats usually show their own particular brand of ineptitude and/or moral bankruptcy.

What, you're not going to miss him? You can't mean that you actually object to our government kidnapping your citizens and sending them overseas to be tortured. He only had your best interests in mind!

Hell WE won't miss him. Can't imagine how you folks would.

It's a mistake to think George Bush is the only cog in the machine; from what we know, his handlers purposely kept him ignorant (not hard to do, obviously).

Many more heads need to roll.

Remember how many thugs from the Reagan era reappeared in this past administration...Cheney, Rumsfeld, Abrams, Negroponte, etc. etc. This can't happen again. The US is out of time.
