Nonny, stop lying. You're the most humourless entity I can think of.
Anyway, off-topic. As much as I dismiss MacLean's magazine, this month's cover and report by Patrick Graham is pretty riveting.
A good quote:
But rather than come up with an intelligent counter-insurgency policy, reach out to traditional tribal social structures and try to understand why American soldiers were getting killed, U.S. military leaders did what Americans have gotten very good at doing in the last few years. They made up a story, which they repeated on the news for U.S. domestic consumption—and then started to believe themselves.
...and another:
The discussion in Washington and New York has always drowned out the reality of Iraq. One of the terrifying aspects of the war is the monumental failure of analysis and action on the part of America’s political, military, journalistic and even business elites.
Sorry, folks, I've been busy, so I just got around to deleting all of Nonny's comments. Yes, it kind of breaks up the flow, but I just have no patience with that level of stupidity anymore.
I wish you'd reinstate TRIWIA, CC. His posts were like exquisitely crafted haikus, translated from whatever Mooninite language Johnny speaks. They were truly wonderful.
And they make you think, y'know? Totally deep.
And I already miss Nonny. I didn't get a chance to come back today and respond to his stupidity. Maybe he'll e-mail me to tell me what to fear next! I hope.

Yeesh. I do hope Nonny's posting from an institution somewhere. Can imagine that miserable stoat in public?
What's that got to do with your primitive behaviour?
Nonny, do you know about humour?
I had assumed that this particular video was meant to upset all of us. It's beyond Hotel California.

...deconstruct that, Nonny.
ti-guy: "U.S. military leaders did what Americans have gotten very good at doing in the last few years..."
Shouting "THREE HOT DOGS AND A COKE" louder and louder until the non-English speaking waiter finally gets it?

Uh, CC, my comment read so lamely because it weaved Asia's most well-known songs throughout the text
Such as: "Only Time Will Tell," "Sole Survivor," Don't Cry," "The Smile Has Left Your Eyes,""Eye to Eye," "Open Your Eyes," and "The Heat Goes On."
You are obviously not much of a fan, failed to recognize the songs hidden within my comment, and deleted my comments in the heat of the moment.
I'll get over it.
I never minded Asia so much.

Uh...a little advice...Don't attempt art; you can't pull it off.

I like it. It reads like one of Bob Newhart's one-sided phone conversations.
