Just in case you needed reminding, Canada's own right wingers are no more grounded in reality and actual fact than their American counterparts. Exhibit A: one Brent Colbert, who writes:
First let me begin buy [sic] explaining why I take particular interest in the American Supreme Court.
Firstly I am fascinated by a system that permits discussion and debate over who is going to occupy a pretty important part of a democratic government.
"A system that permits discussion and debate?" You mean the same kind of discussion and debate in which Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid explicitly warned George W. McFlightSuit ahead of time not to nominate Samuel Alito, and the preznit went right ahead and ignored Reid's suggestion and did it anyway? You mean that kind of discussion and debate, Brent?
Jaw-dropping, right-wing dumbfuckery. It's not just for Americans any more.
