In Christianity, crucifixion was reserved for Jesus. It was done regularly before his death. Sure, people do reenactments, but even St. Peter opted to be crucified upside down because he did not think it was 'appropriate'.
I am just saying that beheadings = martyrdom.
Crucifixion, on the other hand, carries a different meaning.
Maybe you should go check out sunday school sometime :o
