If I'm not mistaken, with increased tax revenue and the money GM paid back, I think the deficit is down to $25 billion.

Keep in mind that Harper paid off over $30 billion in the first few years of his government.

Yes, he did. He pissed away the surplus bequeathed to him by the Liberals and fucked up reliable government revenue by slashing the GST, whereupon we find ourselves in the hole we are now in, with Blogging Tories now bragging about how Stephen Harper reduced the national debt during his first few years in office, with nary a hint of what should be legally-required irony.
