... and this is why we mock them.

Over at BCL's, a link to Dr. Dawg's regarding Harper government funding of faith-based organizations inspires this comment by ubiquitous wanker commenter and mathematical illiterate "wilson":

'22 out of 173 grants made went to faith-based organizations'

WOW! 1.27% of the funded organizations were faith based, that's real scary stuff BCL.

Is there a breakdown where the other 98.73% went to?

It's always a bad idea when wankers try to do simple arithmetic. It never ends well.

AFTERSNARK: I love wilson's implication that there is some magical percentage for misappropriation of public funds below which we should just give it a pass. One immediately thinks of ADSCAM!!!!!, and the popular figure of 100 million dollars. If we take that figure, and compare it to the total Canadian budget for one year, and that ADSCAM!!!!! amount turns out to be less than 1.27 per cent of the total, can we tell Canada's wankers to finally fucking shut the fucking fuck up about it?

I'm just asking.

Stop using "Liberal" math... okay?

Now Wilson does say she made an error but continues on stating some shit about Canada being religious...

The better argument would have been to do a break down of what % of the money went where...

And, the bigger point is that Canada is a secular country and the numbnuts in Ottawa should stay away from giving money that way.

If one is tempted to give Wilson credit for 'fessing up to her stupidity, one should resist that temptation.

First, it takes a special kind of stupid to think that 22 out of 173 corresponds to 1.27%. Seriously, how mathematically stunted must you be to not recognize being off by an entire order of magnitude? And be sanctimoniously pompous and arrogant about it?

But Wilson's real sin is in promptly moving the goalposts and trying to discredit BCL's post from a different direction. She got caught being an utter retard but, rather than apologize profusely and slink off in embarrassment, she continues to pretentiously lecture people who are -- pardon the pun -- at least an order of magnitude smarter than she is.

And again some haven't noted that this 'grant' was for 'capacity building for public schools'...
Someone should make sure that this 500K is going towards some sort of physical infrastructure for public schools instead of bible translations...
Or that's just misappropriated gov't funds...
And if the 500k is, indeed, going towards 'capacity building', why would the gov't choose wycliffe bible translators? How much do they know about building schools? Are their second jobs being 'Mike Holmes' wannabes?
Just askin'...
