When it's so bloody obvious that even the National Post gets it.

On the topic of marriage commissioners, amazingly, even the National Post has finally twigged to it:

National Post editorial board: Marriage commissioners have no right to say no

Civil marriage commissioners are, in effect, agents of the state. It is government that gives them authority to perform legally binding marriage ceremonies — which means they must follow the government’s rules when they execute their duties.

Etc, etc, etc, logically irrefutable argument that marriage commissioners should either marry who they're told to marry, or find other work. So who -- I ask you, who -- is still so irredeemably retarded as to keep flogging this long-decayed carcass? Oh, Christ:

Sasketchewan Court Considers Legislation Protecting Conscience Rights of Marriage Commissioners

REGINA, May 12, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (EFC) will appear before the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal Thursday, May 13 and Friday, May 14 in a case involving proposed legislation that would allow the province's marriage commissioners to refuse to perform same-sex "marriages" because of sincerely held religious beliefs.

*Sigh*. You wouldn't be protecting their conscience. You'd be protecting their ignorance, their bigotry and their intolerance. Oh, and their infuriating, goddamned hypocrisy. That, too.

Horse. Barn door. Hoofbeats disappearing into the distance. Get a fucking clue.

In less than 2 years the Saskatchewan Party has ruined a once fine province with their bungling, their neofascist christian philosophy and their financial mismanagement. That takes real talent.
