We "lefties" are bad people.

Apparently, James von Brunn is one of us. I had no idea.

Well the nazis called themselves national socialist. Shouldn't we believe them? And Kim Jong Il will step down after the elections in the Democratic Peoples Republic of NK, right?

Funny seeing the Ayn Rand Institute weighing in. Doesn't "going Galt" basically amount to "going on strike", like trade unions sometimes do?

What's really sad is the blogosphere's and media's need to try and politicize and label this guy. Even if this guy was left, right or rhino party, does any critically thinking human actual assign his guilt across the entire group? Well shit, yes they do. Society is fucked. Maybe the better question is why are we so insecure that we need to place this association in the first place.

It matters at least in the context of the right-wing extremism report that the DHS issued, and then retracted in the face of the mass persecution complex of right-wingers who are marginally more moderate.

There's also the issue of rationalization for the hatred behind actions such as this that pervade right-wing media. Democracy Now had a good hour on that, today.

That's why I'm a Liberal. I've never met any who can be called extremist in any sense of the term.

But enough equivocating. These psychotic, hate-spewing, violent right wingers' beliefs exist on a spectrum towards moderate conservatives and we have to hang their stink on them until the moderates begin to marginalise them (instead of being silent all the time). Really, it's for their own good. They'll thank us later. From the camps, if need be.

von Bruun was angry. Angry, angry, angry. The left is angry. Angry, angry, angry. Therefore... or something like that.

Everyone is a lefty according to the right whingers; Scott Roeder will be one of us soon I'm sure. I only wonder why, with so damned many of us, we don't have a lock on power everywhere. Hell, not only are we bad people but we obviously must be too damned lazy to vote.
