Simple answers to simple questions.

Will the some Blogging Tories ever grow up to the point where they realize that this kind of argument is idiotic?

The Americans could simply be stubbornly refusing to admit making a mistake on their end--if for no other reason than to avoid getting caught up in a similar payout. Buying off terror suspects, even exonerated ones, won't play well in the press or electorate there.

Or maybe, just maybe, there's still good reason to keep an eye on him.

Being not guilty of X doesn't mean being innocent of Y.

Answer: No.

This has been another edition of "Simple answers to simple questions."

AFTERSNARK: Unlike dissonance and disrespect's "Loyalist," Glenn Greenwald is not a moron.

Let's face it; if the Blogging Whories didn't have their abject stupidity and their adolescent gossiping and smearing, they'd have nothing to say at all.

I don't know why the Whories can't just go with the logically- and legally-based defense of US administration's position; that it won't be commenting conclusively on this issue while Arar's suit against the American government is still going on, because it runs the risk of admitting culpability before it has to, which it probably never will, regardless of the outcome.

Of course, that doesn't excuse Ambassador Cracker's remarks, but then, what else can you expect from the Bushies?

Well it's nice you paint of us with the same brush, but fuck you. My comments on Arar speak for themselves....

"I'm with omar on this one. Mahar got screwed by the RCMP, that action led to him being sent to the US and eventually to Syria.

We may not have directly tortured him, but our negligence got the ball rolling.

It's not that unusally for someone who is falsely accused to later by compensated. David Milgard comes to mind, he received $10 million from the government"

How long will it be before Arar goes after the country that tortured him?

Kitchener Conservative takes it personally:

Why, yes, they do ... as anyone with an ounce of sense who followed that link can see for themselves, at which point they would realize that I was having some fun with a little hyperbole but was still being honest enough to provide that link so everyone could read what was there for themselves, and could make their own judgments and draw their own conclusions.

Now, why don't you be a good boy and wander back to the Blogging Tories, where they like to smear the entire Liberal Party as "Libranos" and "Fiberals."

After all, that's different. Right?

Why Cynic, I think I will....your Seinfeld blog is fun.

"Have a nothing day"!

Right :-).

Afterall, when the current leader of the Liberals even toys with the idea of letting a thief who stole Canadian's money to give it to Liberal candidates, then they are Libranos and Fiberals; its no mere smear.

Hmm, I wonder which of the candidates that received their part of the cash is a Liberal MP today. And Liberals want us to stop talking about Sponsorship/Adscam? Well too bad, obviously there is still much to talk about. And with Dion wanting to lift the plug to the rat hole to let the rats back in, well it is certainly no surprise.

Fucking Whories. Even when they're being reasonable, they're beyond irritating. Kitchener Conservative...no one's going to give you a Nobel Prize for adopting the only reality-based, factually-informed position on this issue, especially in light of the egregious behaviour of the Harpies over the Arar affair while in opposition.

Hmm, I wonder which of the candidates that received their part of the cash is a Liberal MP today.

Maybe if you stopped beating your wife, you might actually have the time and energy to find out for sure, instead of wasting it stumbling blindly through wonder and idle speculation.

Aw, such righteous, progressive anger! :-) I love it! And to think its not only "Blogging Whories" that exhibit such bile. Yes, I personally am going to find out who they are, as if we don't have police to do just that. Go back to sleep Ti-Guy.

....instead of wasting it stumbling blindly through wonder and idle speculation.

No, you left-turd sheep, it is not mere wonder and speculation. We know Cote gave the stolen cash to 12 Liberal candidates. It might be a stretch of your pea-sized brain to think that at least a couple of those candidates got the money, but not everyone is going to bury their head in the sand like you and say "well, its just speculation and wonder", so there should be no investigative effort to even try to find out who.

I'm calling a stop to this animated little exchange. I don't allow my comments section to degenerate into a pissing contest from either side. You boys want to continue this, find another venue.
