Salad? Oh no, you're not going to die young, ruining PR's big plan to get out of this.
Have you figured out where Patrick is living? If he's working in Grande Prairie, there's no way he can be living in Lloydminster, so he'd have to be either renting a room in someone's house or staying in a hotel, and both of those are not going to be cheap and will eat into his income. And given how he eats out all the time, that's going to be expensive, too.
So even if he got some inheritance, he seems to be burning through that in a real hurry.
Anon @ 8:33 AM: I'm not sure where Patrick is either living or working these days, but you are correct in that, however he's getting by, it's costing him money, especially if he's having to pay for accommodations somewhere in northern Alberta.
I've said this many times -- he can run for quite some time if he doesn't mind being bankrupt and never having the freedom to buy his own place, or rent his own apartment, or start his own business. But that gets old after a while, and all of Patrick's bad decisions will eventually catch up with him. For example, my garnishment order is effective in Saskatchewan, so if ever I learn that he is working for a SK employer, I can start taking his money immediately.
Once again, if anyone out there runs across Patrick, just drop me a note.
Wonder how Twatsy's renting an apartment in Grande Prairie now. Maybe he's still living with a lease Ken co-signed before he passed died? Or maybe he's living off-grid with an informal arrangement?
I don't know if it's just me or not, but it feels like Ol' Patty Boy bounces between Lloydminster and Grande Prairie every few months. That's not exactly a short jaunt between places. I can't imagine he's doing that on one tank of gas. Not to mention his occasional journey to Dawson Creek for whatever reason.
I don't know what type of mileage his ride gets, but if he's like any of the other self-proclaimed "manliest man who ever manned" types, he probably has an absolute gas guzzler.

I think what I'm trying to say is it can't be cheap going back and forth like that, on top of whatever he might be paying for a place to stay in Grande Prairie, amenities, $25 hamburgers for some reason, etc. Inheritance money only goes so far, and even with a decent salary at whatever place he works at, it can't be cheap living in a fairly remote area. Not necessarily "living in the Yukon" remote and expensive, but I imagine there's a bit of a premium tacked on living fairly far from a big city like Edmonton.
Anon 1:38pm makes good points, echoing CC's general sentiment that Twatsy's current lifestyle is not sustainable, especially given his compounding $120,000 defamation debt. Since Twatsy obviously won't be using a credit card, we're wondering if the Lloydminster Loser might be living off cash reserves. Perhaps Ken surrupticiously left $30K in cash in the basement before he died, and/or Twatsy's been able to sell some of Ken's auto parts and accessories off-the-grid. For obvious reasons, Twatsy doesn't want his money/assets to be traceable. So, wethinks it's entirely plausible that Twatsy snuggles up with his shoebox of cash along with his blow-up doll every night. Something or someone has to be subsidizing those $25 greaseburgers, because a swamper's salary certainly doesn't cut it.
He will be claiming Lloyd as residence and drawing anywhere from $140 to $180 a day loa from his job. Tax free per day worked. (If no camp provided.)
Multiply that over a 21 day shift (minimum) and you can see that he will be living very well.
