Chronicles of Twatrick: The strangeness of Casa Ross.

There is something just a bit curious about what is happening with "Casa Ross," the Lloydminster residential property that belong(s/ed) to the late and minimally-lamented Ken Ross. Daddy Ross passed away in June of 2023, which means it's closing in on three years that that property should have been disposed of pursuant to whatever was in the will. And yet, after all this time, it seems that the Ross clan is still squatting there, which inspires the question -- what are the plans for that property? Or have they even decided?

There are four siblings (including Patrick) and, from what I've heard, every one of them could really, really use their share of the proceeds from the sale of the house. And yet, there it remains, with regular visitors from the Ross clan:

Now, it's entirely possible that there is some sort of agreement that the house will be transferred to one of those gormless hillbillies, but what will the rest of them get to make up for that? Is it possible that the Ross clan is putting off trying to sell the property because they're trying to figure out how to protect it from me (given Patrick's massive debt to me)?

So far, one can only speculate, but that's why I'm asking my collection of confidential informants to keep their eyes out for things like a "For Sale" sign going up, or Patrick suddenly appearing to have moved elsewhere, that sort of thing. At some point, one would think that that passel of yahoos is going to have to make a decision, and I want to be as forewarned and forearmed when they do.

In any event, if anything interesting happens, drop me a note, and I'll see what I can do with it.

Since Twatsy appears to no longer be working in the Northern Alberta resource industry, he's probably on EI benefits currently. Perhaps you can claw back some of those funds, since they are easily traceable?

Beyond that, the house situation is strange. Penny Ross has kids to support and a deadbeat ex-husband, so her financial needs are likely acute. She might have sold her home in Marshall, SK to move into Casa Ken, then remunerated the other siblings, perhaps letting Uncle Twatsy stay in the basement and record his stupid podcasts? You should do some digging. Like you said, it's unlikely that those four hillbilly Ross kids could afford to dilly-dally for years over Daddy Ross's estate.

Speaking as a chronic procrastinator, you would be surprised how long an important, difficult decision can be put off if there's nothing really forcing you to make it . . .

ROD: While one can *speculate* that Patrick is no longer swamping in northern Alberta, it's hard to point at any hard evidence of that so that's not a conclusion I'm ready to hang an argument on.

However, it occurs to me that if Patrick is no longer employed, then what is his *official* address? Depending on where he technically "lives", that will dictate what I might try to do to collect from him. If he's currently crashing at Casa Ross but maintains that he still lives in Alberta, that will likely get him in a ton of trouble if/when I serve him at his alleged Lloydminster address, and a process server is told he doesn't live there.

Remember -- for quite some time now, Patrick has listed the Lloyd address as his address for proper legal service. If he's been lying all this time, that has the potential for ending very badly for him. And that's why I'm asking people to keep tabs on Casa Ross and Patrick, and keep me posted on his whereabouts.

Living in one province while claiming to live in another is anything but clever. Hell, just look at the problems Senator Mike Duffy brought upon himself. CRA, for one, will not be amused.

Why sell and just have to buy someplace else? Or be a renter from then on. Why not just live there? Watch for putting a trailer or tiny home granny flat in the back yard. Two or three of them could stay there and split the taxes and utilities. Presumably no mortgage.

Anon @ 11:12 PM: It's always *possible* for a collection of those yahoos to move into Casa Ross together and share it, but I find it hard to believe that any of those hillbillies has any interest in co-habiting. From what I've seen and heard of that family (and, trust me, I've been educated about them), they are a thoroughly repulsive lot who don't much care for each other.

Also, from what I've heard, none of Patrick's siblings has any love for him given the financial stress he's put them through over the years with his bankruptcy, and how he's jeopardized their cashing in on the will based on the potential for me to step in and seize any of the property going to Patrick.

As it stands now, one can accurately say that Patrick is both broke (being in massive debt to me) and homeless (having no fixed address, other than perhaps a hotel room or sleeping in someone's basement). Broke, homeless and turning 45 years old this year. Yeah, he's really made something of himself. I hope his maliciously defaming me all those years ago was worth it.
