Come on, kids ... what could possibly go wrong?

As many sane people have noticed, it is the plan of Conservative Stephen Harper's Big Business and CEO Emporium Party of Canada's Jim Prentice to first pass outrageously restrictive, draconian DMCA legislation, then hold hearings and consult with the public to get their opinions on the topic afterwards.

Personally, I don't have a problem with this. After all, it was the Conservatives who similarly agreed to support same-sex marriage from the get-go, with the promise that they'd let it ride for a while and check how all that was working out some time down the road, yes?

I'm sorry ... that's not what happened? Well, fuck me.

  1. Well, isn't that cute. My MP's website is inexplicaby unavailable, with the following words:

Access to this site is temporarily disabled.

    Gee, I wonder why?

To paraphrase the late Steve Gilliard, fuck the fucking Conservatives.

  3. Oh, I already emailed. I just was commenting that his page was down, thus requiring a search elsewhere for his info.

He's a Conservative, so I'm not at all expecting him to stick up for my rights. He just does what Li'l Stevie tells him.
