Can someone explain Kate MacMillan's horrendous misuse of semicolons to me? Please?

She actually used the word "euphanism" the other day.
No doubt her hordes of fawning supporters would inform you that "euphanism" is simply a new euphemism for "euphemism".
I think she's tired of the tyranny of low expectations for semi-colons. If you treat them like full colons, they'll act like full colons.
I feel as though there's a funny joke about Kate and a colonoscopy in there somewhere, but I'll leave that for somebody else to discover.
