In this case, it's this assertion by Chris Shays:

We went into Iraq on a bipartisan basis...

Utter bullshit. The biggest single weakness in this glorious GOP adventure was that they opened a multi-front war...on Iraq, on traditional US allies (remember that hissy ambassador Celucci lecturing us?) and on domestic opposition and dissent. They shored up these fronts long after it was reasonnable to do so.

One of the things the BuschCo and their partisans could have done easily was to encourage the marginalisation of idiot wingnuts who were paraded on the national media and who pissed off every sensible person so thoroughly with their ignorant rants and their hate.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6708375.post-1164713970698249222006-11-28T06:39:00.000-05:002006-11-28T06:39:00.000-05:00I love it that Jake can't even speak in the active...I love it that Jake can't even speak in the active voice. Rather than directly admit, "We made mistakes," Jake uses the more weasely "we already know that huge mistakes were made."

Yes, Jake, mistakes were made. And yes, Jake, you and the rest of your right-wing idiot friends were the ones who made them.

How about taking responsibility for a change?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
