It's really an apples & oranges comparison. Wanda was pure, unfiltered rockabilly, Patsy was country-pop filtered and processed through the production skills of the amazing Owen Bradley.
Though back in day when I used to play upright bass in [unnamed, because it could potentially out me] highly-respected Canadian 'rockabilly' artist's band we used to cover both singer's material which including a very powerful and emotional version of 'Leaving On Your Mind' as well as a raucous 'Hard Headed Woman'.
I have a healthy respect for the talents of both women. So, I ain't a-pickin' one over the other.
Sheena, I think Patsy's was a great voice, more than merely adequate but it's also sort of like admitting Mariah Carey has a great voice (which she does). Clien had the ebenfit of Hashville's best songwriters, its best producer and the top session musicians. So, yeah, it's very much pre-fab, processed and refined. Having said that, some of her hits are really terrific songs as songs.
Wanda is much more pure in the sense of just being 100% herself -- a hellraiser of an artist and performer.
As for KD? Gee, I could tell some stories... just leave it at her whole early career 're-incarnation of Patsy Cline' shtick was nothing more than an attention getting device which, I guess, worked out for her.
I still ain't a-picking one over the other between Wanda and Patsy. I see the merits of both.
LuLu darlin' lovely as Patsy is, she is nothing like a raise in stakes here. She's the Velveeta to Wanda's sharp cheddar.

I saw Wanda live and in person at the Cadillac Lounge in TO a couple of years ago. Wowza x 1 million billion trillion.
