Remember, remember …

The Sixth of December and the reasons why Marc Lepine killed 14 innocent women at Montreal’s École Polytechnique.

Credit where credit is due ...
Alpha makes a point worth emphasizing in the comments:

The best thing to remember the women murdered by this creature, is to erase it's name from all of history. Instead of remembering it's name, let us remember:

Geneviève Bergeron
Hélène Colgan
Nathalie Croteau
Barbara Daigneault
Anne-Marie Edward
Maud Haviernick
Maryse Laganière
Maryse Leclair
Anne-Marie Lemay
Sonia Pelletier
Michèle Richard
Annie St-Arneault
Annie Turcotte
Barbara Klucznik-Widajewicz

For those that can not remember all the names, take one. Remember her forever, and pass that along to the next generations.

Immortality is through remembering... Remember the victims, not the monster. Give the victims the immortality, give the monster nothing.

Indeed.

  1. This is a mental health issue, a horror, among many horrors. Who really has an answer to this?

He is saying “no fair, no fair”.

Revolutions and mass killings have started with the no "fair cry".

  2. A horrible act, and well worth remembering. Of course, coming from where I do, I remember another event that also happened on this very same day. A lot of people forget about it, sadly.

Not the best day of the year.

  4. Remember the victims, not the monster.

Hear, hear. With these types of tragedies, no one ever remembers the victims' names.

  5. Well said Alpha. I've also listed them at my place.
