Shorter Republican Mark Foley: "I should be forgiven for serially stalking children because those kids were almost 18 -- that's almost an adult."

Shorter Republican Henry Hyde: "I should be forgiven for committing adultery and breaking up someone's marriage -- it was a 'youthful indiscretion' at age 41."

And besides, it was Bill Clinton's fault. Really.
