It's all in the interpretation.

Shorter Better-than-Ezra: Pardon me while I completely and shamelessly take Dr. Dawg out of context so I can make it look like he totally agrees with everything I say. And really ... who wouldn’t? Now enough about him, let’s talk about me for a while.

  1. Some of his commenters seem a might confused by this Levantian whimsy. Others believe I have had some kind of Damascene conversion, just because Ezra says I did. Still others think I have "recanted," all right, but only for sneaky left-wing reasons.

I was almost tempted to do another "Anthropology of Blogging" piece about all this--the reading and misreading of texts is an interest of mine--but there's only so much mire I'm willing to wade through.

For the record, I think that Ezra had his tongue firmly in his cheek on this one.

  4. I wish Ezra would get his ass in a uniform and over to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan already.

  5. I don't usually allow myself to indulge in personal remarks, but I need to point out that the first step in this process may render the project impractical.
