The classics never go out of style.

Via Dave over at TGB, we have the alleged money quote:

"The worst of all worlds would be a short, small surge of U.S. forces," McCain said at a forum on the final version of the plan, developed by retired Army Gen. Jack Keane and Frederick Kagan, a military analyst at the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative Washington think tank. "This troop surge [must be] significant and sustained; otherwise, don't do it."

With all due respect, the real money quote is the much smaller snippet contained therein:

... the plan, developed by retired Army Gen. Jack Keane and Frederick Kagan, a military analyst at the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative Washington think tank.

You know what's coming, don't you? Oh, yes, you do:

That clip just never gets old, does it?

Is it just my Frantics indoctrination about 'urges in areas' or does "short, small surge of U.S. forces" being *bad* and "This troop surge [must be] significant and sustained; otherwise, don't do it." being *good* sound as blatantly penile and orgasmic to anyone else?

I keept having CC's phrase about 'premature ejankulation' kachinging up in my brain when I read the above.
