I was going to blog on this but, what the hell, I don't think I could improve on this. UPDATE: When I first read Alison's title "When the thing arises ...", I swearthis is what immediately came to mind.
If you follow the link to the Globe and Mail article, then read the discussion, you see all the Conservatives whining about the Liberal non-plan for daycare or you read multiple iterations of the fatuous whinge: "I didn't get help raising my kids; why should they?" No one seemed to be particularly interested that a gang of retrograde religious and intolerant freaks had been engaged to sell Harper's plan to Canadians...a dumb move, if ever I've seen one.
Conservatives never miss the opportunity to miss the point.
