Let the shrieky hysterics begin.

Apparently, the Afghan detainee issue is a "peripheral, unimportant issue" over which the Conservatives should still be prepared to destroy our country. So spake one Adrian MacNair.

Then there's the perpetually senile Sandy Crux, who is still soiling her Grandma-sized Depends as we speak.

Earplugs might be the order of the day.

P.S. Canada's Blogging Tories would like to lecture you on how there's no way you can trust the Opposition to maintain national security secrets. Yes, dears, why don't you chide us on the importance of confidential documents?

Ah, but don't forget they did and will still put most of the blame of Julie Couillard; you know how taking responsibility for their own actions is just too much of a stretch!

someone needs to drop off a load of bibs over at sandy's dump, the lowlights are drooling in puddles. the big theme is run to the polls and hide from the consequences of the sleaze. please gawd perform one of your magical miracles and zap ignatieff into someone of consequence, spine and character. if we go to the polls i dread all the possible outcomes. there's a bankruptcy of leadership in this nation and neither team blue nor red are worthy of a half hearterd stream of piss should they burst into flames.

You can't support torture AND the troops. It's one or the other Blogging Tories.

I see that Adrian has all the useless talking points in order...
Think of the women and children and "our obsession about the treatment of bearded fanatics". I have a feeling Adrian would like skullfuck all those bad people just to teach them a lesson...

Except that the reality is the Afghan mission has been nothing but a farce. We "lost" long ago and have made the situation worse. Some that espouse rule of law are quite happy to break it for their ideology. Conservatives are mostly children and, if you look at their reasoning, it is demonstrated every fucking time they blog.

The treatment of Afghani prisoners became a wedge issue when Harper and his idiots lied repeatedly about what they knew. No one is saying that war is always clean and that soldiers are not in a difficult situation.

Conservatives and by extension idiots such as Adrian ALWAYS blame other people. They never take responsibility for their actions.
By being complicit in torture, Canada has endangered the lives of all soldiers and one day we may have extremists launch an attack on Canadian soil. Connies will scream "see we were right" - not comprehending that our actions towards others have consequences.
Yes, it would be a "I told you so moment" but they will fail to see why.

Every year we hear that victory is at hand, only to see that more soldiers die. Conservatives point their fingers at the Taliban, but the simple truth is that there was never a plan in Afghanistan. We went in and created a clusterfuck.
Adrian complains about the "seemingly ceaseless suicide bombings against civilians and IED’s planted" not realizing that our bombing and killing of civilians has hampered the "war" effort to a higher degree.

Conservatives are the problem because they are children.

He thinks that the opposition is "orchestrating" outrage. How about I go over to Adrian's house and "orchestrate" a little torture just for fun. No big deal, right? He may or may not be innocent but what the fuck - collateral damage.... Or is torture "relative" to Adrian.

And then after the fact that Harper has waffled about funding abortions, the little children blame Iggy for opening up the abortion issue. So basically a government known to be pro-coat hanger were their irrational ideology is bubbling below the surface and has dodge giving a clear answer but using nebulous words and giving the impression that they will fund abortion FINALLY speaks out and somehow it is some else's fault.

Adrian needs a two by clue....

Everybody was listening to Milliken's decision yesterday on twitter and it was really interesting. Part way through with everybody else riveted by the intricacy of the impending ruling...Stephen Taylor pipes up (twitter won't allow a link sorry):

"Milliken should offer an executive summary prior to the rest of it #hoc #cdnpoli"

Based on the posts and comments at Unambig and Cruxy's it's not hard to imagine why. What are ahistorical talking point people supposed to do with an exhaustive, principled, precedent laden argument? Still, they're doing the best they can with the limited intellectual capacity they have. Waaaaaah waaaaaah hic, waaaaaah

BTW Huntsy is lecturing today but not about National security. In a bold and didactive move, Huntsy's edifying screed is about the definition of the word, maternal.

Notice how Hunter skipped right on over the quote speaking about 11-12 year olds being forced into full term pregnancy as *mothers*, to squeak about how eerrr...

...uhm, by her argument of someone who aborts a fetus can't be called a mother...doesn't that mean that any woman who has a miscarriage or has to terminate due to gross fetal deformity or any woman 'not full term pregnancy delivered of a live child' doesn't qualify as a mother...and no woman should be addressed as a mother until the kid is squalling in her arms?

After finding a few more things to lecture the Libs on, I'm sure she'll get around to the Speaker's corner, since he's a Lib running dog pawn.

The Cons seems a bit slow getting the talking points out over this. By the time two weeks have ticked down, there will be full foaming wroth froth and at least five shifts in why there should be foaming wroth.

If you had to get the desperate truth because humanity depended upon it, and you had to torture blogging tories to get it...
Well, you get my drift. Nada useful.

Fuck, would they sell each other out fast, you can bet on that!
