Jason Kenney: Still not down with the homos.

Apparently, Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney still doesn't much care for the faggots:

Gay rights section nixed for immigrants' guide

Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney blocked any reference to gay rights in a new study guide for immigrants applying for Canadian citizenship, the Canadian Press has learned.

Internal documents show an early draft of the guide contained sections noting that homosexuality was decriminalized in 1969; that the Charter of Rights and Freedoms forbids discrimination based on sexual orientation; and that same-sex marriage was legalized nationally in 2005.

But Kenney, who fought same-sex marriage when it was debated in Parliament, ordered those key sections removed when his office sent its comments to the department last June.

In Kenney's world, I'm sure homos are bad enough, but foreigner homos? Perhaps with dark skin? That must just give Kenney the late night sweats. And not in a good way, if you catch my drift.

AFTERSNARK: Curiously (or maybe not), it appears Canada's Blogging Tories are entirely missing in action on this story. Even Blogging Tory Fred "Gay and Right" Litwin can't seem to tear himself away from what must surely be foremost on the mind of every gay person in Canada these days: Israel.

Here's a suggestion, Fred: Change the name of your blog to something like "Gay and Don't Really Give a Shit About Any of That Gay Stuff." Maybe throw in the word "Israel" once or twice. Think of it as your first baby step towards accuracy. I mean, it's not like you have any interest in gay issues or anything, right?

Kenny is able to stifle his gay desires each and every single day.

Heck, there's not an hour that goes by that he resists the urge to go trolling the halls of Parliament looking for hard man-meat.

And if he can do it, then anybody else should be able to. The fact that they can't resist their urges as frequently as he does is no reason to sympathize with them!

The reverse actually.

[note: sarcasm. sorta.]

Oops.

Jason resist temptation?? Hardly (pun intended)! I was Jason's private love slave for many, many years.

He broke it off when he told me that my love for Tah-chin and Kabab was anti-semetic.

I was actually happy it ended. I always found his Nelson Mandella dart board a bit disturbing.

Youse guys have been so obsessed with Canadian things like hockey and prorogation these days youse guys completely missed the goings on in the southern US state of Georgia. Which is important shit.

There's this lady in rural Georgia, an hour and a hundred years outside Atlanta, whose better half had risen to a position of prominence in the lower house of the state legislature and, as a consequence thereof, the entire state of Georgia, having gotten hisself named Speaker of the House. This lady set all of Georgia to gigglin' by going on teevee and sayin' he's having an affair with "a lobbyist" for Atlanta Gas & Light.

You gotta understand, half of Atlanta, which is the state capital, knows all about this, but the Speaker hisself ain't sayin' nothin,' so nobody in Atlanta's sayin' nothing' which is why everyone else in Georgia is gigglin' so.

This wouldn't be no big deal in Canada, where gays is "normal," but Georgia ain't Canada. Folks can't can't decide whether the lady's just twistin' the knife or . . . . Anyways, gets to the point the Speaker can't stand the gigglin' no more.

So they has this special election in rural Georgia to elect a new representative for the state house.

Guys who wins is hetero. In fact, ten years ago, when his first wife is pregnant with they first baby, boy does his mother-in-law. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x7798610
