Blogging Tory Sandy Crux continues to be a useful idiot:
[Funding] Cut off simply because KAIROS criticized Israel? I think not. Here is actually what Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, said:
“I did not accuse KAIROS of being anti-Semitic. What I said was that KAIROS has taken ‘a leadership role in the boycott, divestment and sanctions campaign (against Israel).‘ In fact, Toronto Star columnist Rosie DiManno’s own research led her to the same conclusion. She wrote that KAIROS has taken ‘a leading role in divestment, sanctions and targeted boycotts of Israel,’ and said those who deny that are ‘disingenuous and dissembling.‘
And for at least the third time, we here at CC HQ will point out the level of dishonesty in that talking point.
Rather than call Sandy a liar, I think it's kinder to chalk it all up to senility and leave it at that.
AMUSINGLY, Sandy (like many historically ignorant Blogging Tories before her) yap on and on about the democracyness of Israel, while conveniently ignoring its long history of coalition governments. In other words, the very people who praise the fundamental democracy of coalitions when they happen elsewhere are the same ones who condemn coalitions as sleazy, backroom usurpations of power when they happen here.
I'm guessing that if you pointed out the hypocrisy of these people, their comeback wouldn't rise above the level of, "I don't get it. What's your point?"

Actually, if you really stop and think about it, it's not really apartheid - it's worse. So, why aren't we boycotting Israel, again?
Wow! As a reference she drags out Rosie Dimoron!!
So did Jason Kenney. Lying scoundrels, all of them.
So, why aren't we boycotting Israel, again?
Because suggesting a consumer boycott of Israel is neo-antisemitic.
Oh yeah? Well I think Israel is neo-anti-semitic.
The fact is, we can't boycott Israel for its treatment of the Palestinians because the surrounding Arab countries are so much worse in their treatment of everyone.
