Orly is a drag queen act, right?

No? Ooops, sorry, my bad.

As someone pointed out in a comment elsewhere, are we sure Orly isn't another Sacha Baron Cohen character?

I actually thought the interviewers did a shitty job.

If they were going to put her on in the first place they should have steered her along to her actual thesis about how Obama's birth announcement ended up in a Honolulu newspaper. (She was getting to that, but she was taking forever.)

Sure, she looks like a bottle-blond dimwit with a screechy voice and an accent that people seem to like to mock, but I had to agree with her about Ann Coulter. I can see the argument they were trying to make with Coulter, not being "mainstream" (even though they feature enough!), but when should Ann Coulter be able to decide what's nutty and what isn't? Her opinion is meaningless.

My concern isn't that they were "unfair" to Taitz, just that her followers are going to say that the MSM didn't give her a chance. That's how I'd react if they'd interrupted a leftist, talking sense, in the same way.

In so doing, they don't kill this story, they make its proponents feel like martyrs.

If you're really going to trash something, don't shout it down. Dismantle it.

If you're going to give kooky conspiracy theories any air-time at all, demolish them properly, not like that.

Yes, in one sense, the interviewers could have been better prepared. On the other hand, what possible way could they have dealt with someone so paranoid and deranged?

The end result was utterly predictable: Taitz is asked a reasonable question and, rather than answering it, she goes gallivanting off in another direction, spewing idiocy until the interviewer *finally* gets a word in edgewise, whereupon Taitz quite predictably starts yapping on about how no one in the MSM will let her talk.

You can't win with these idiots. But at least that interview exposed that dingbat for the howling lunatic she is.

I wish they'd gotten to the numerous discrepancies with the obviously forged Kenyan birth certificate that Ms. Taint, Esq. and the other "birthers" are touting as "proof" that Obama isn't a natural born citizen.

Oh well. Another time perhaps. It is, after all, the story that keeps on giving...

You let them talk. And when they're done, you say "Oooo..kay. Thank you. Moving on...." Then, later on, you might review the discussion and report on how incoherent it was.

This is why I don't watch 24 news channels...at all.

I concur with that. They should have just let her run her mouth describing the nefarious plot for hatching Muslim squirrel and allow the obvious madness to flow freely, unchecked by their pesky (and futile) attempts to check the swell of demented nonsense with bothersome "facts" and other such troublesome impediments.
