"Hunter" versus the Zerb: Not a fair fight.

Admittedly a few days old, but here's The Star's Antonia Zerbisias, opening up a can of whoop-ass on one of the Canadian Idiot-sphere's biggest idiots.

Remember the days when Canada actually had a thoughtful and educated conservative punditry? Me neither.

Neo Conservaturd'a finest post to date.

I find Neotard intensely uninteresting these days. Practically every single post of his can be summarized as, "Oh, man, more people were violently assaulted and murdered in Toronto! Is that freakin' awesome or what?!"

From Neo's perspective, it's a bonus if they were black. Neo's always good with black people getting snuffed. It amuses him.

So true. But this is special. The death penalty for suicide bombers? Fab.

*Sigh*. As much as I dislike defending that racist cretin, the above commenter is *not* the Blogging Tory "Neo Conservative." Stealing someone else's online identity and misrepresenting them is not funny. Knock it off.

Heh. If you follow the link to Robert "Fluffy" Fulford's article The National Putz, you see that he references Pam "Atlas Shrugs" in the last paragraph. Talk about an authority on the plight of Muslim women.

Zerbisias couldn't catch him in an outright lie, so she had to settle for "wordy and obtuse."

*sigh* Time to dig up Leo Strauss's corpse and violate it again...

Who cares what that morbid psychopath "Neo" thinks about anything?

Neo's site is just...weird. It's set on autotroll. The "posts", such as they are, seem designed to do nothing more than evoke a mild headache from the numbing repetition of crime stats, all cited with a kind of ironic frame suggesting that something significant is being said here.

It's now on my "snake house" list: wander by occasionally for a horrified frisson at the depth of the abyss, but never engage.

What particularly amusing is that Neo is living proof of what an awesome, irresistible force I am in the Canadian bloggysphere. I didn't even link to him, but he's already responded with a reference back to this blog as if I had anything to do with this.

It's true -- I am a frightening presence on the Intertoobz. The members of Canada's Dumbass-o-sphere will, almost inevitably, refuse to address the valid concerns of commenters if those commenters are bloggers here at CC HQ. Or are regular commenters here. Or are regular readers here. Or have ever read anything here. Or simply followed a link from here. Or ... well, you get the idea.

There is, quite simply, a fundamental rule in the Canadian blogosphere -- do not tangle with the members of Club CC, else, you will have privates removed and mailed back to you. Intellectually speaking.

The fear is palpable, isn't it?

If there were any kind of leadership among the progressive/liberal/lefty bloggers, you'd have periodic "Blog Against Stupid Right Winger X Day" in which one of these abysmal cretins would be featured in all their horrible glory, which I *know* shames them and might get the attention of someone in the MSM. It could be done with respect to certain themes: "Conservative bigotry," Conservative paranoia about sex, crime and death," "Conservative lies," "Conservative anti-science," etc. etc.

Jane Hamsher mobilised a lot of bloggers that way a few years ago (they even published the results in a .pdf format) and I really think that was a turning point in the "war" against right wing propaganda.

Really? did we win?

You're kidding, right? We do that sort of thing all the time, and it "shames" them not in the slightest. When was the last time you saw a single member of the Blogging Tories even minimally apologetic for being caught out posting something massively stupid or deranged?

These people are not ashamed of their ignorance or bigotry -- they're proud of it. They wave it like a fucking banner, and if they're ever spanked in public for their idiocy, their inevitable response is nothing more than, "Wow, sure looks like I got the lefties all stirred up, ha ha, stupid leftards!"

Humiliate them? Oh, please. Go ahead and find me a single Blogging Tory who has ever displayed any shame or humiliation for being as dumb as a sack of dog turds. It ain't gonna happen. "Shame" simply isn't in their vocabulary.

Huntsy exemplifies CC's remarks to a Tee. After a week or so of being exposed as a complete hypocrite by various individuals she simply switches comment moderation to "ON", reasoning that lefty trolls have abused her generosity and taken over her blog with stupid comments. No attempt to demonstrate HOW the comments are stupid. No contrition, certainly no attempt to justify her own position. Genital mutilation is STILL spelled gentile mutilation in the post for which Zerbisias takes her to task. The world view is completely binary.

The commentary in the post following the onset of comment moderation is instructive - everyone congratulates Huntsy for shutting down the discussion. Climbing out of the dark resumes its activity as a very exclusive, hoity little suburban coffee klatch.

If it were done carefully, it could be shaming for everyone to know that there isn't much that separates the mouth breathers from those at the very top, who, we assume, value their credibility. Look how Zerbisias mananged to tie to Hunter's ignorant anti-feminism to Robert Fulford?

The more articulate Conservatives try to maintain this facade that these wingnuts are fringe, but in fact, they're mainstream. I'm sure they'd be embarrassed if anyone who matters started to figure that out.

The mouth breathers (like Hunter) get their talking points from CPOC. If you read the two posts that Zerb samples, the content "Talking Points" are the same. Co-incidence? I think not...

And, yah, they were all high-fiving themselves last week after Huntsy banned the leftards. "Stupid smart people, make us rednecks look stoooopid!"

Hunter's place was always a front for CPC talking points. It was masquerading as the blog of a feisty western woman, ready to debate anyone. Kind of like "dodo" wants to be, if anyone would bother. It was a useful place to test drive the talking points for the PMO.

But with Kory gone, it would seem they are re-evaluating their blog strategy.

Now hunter's place is basically a CPC run mommy blog.
