From back here, the one and only Sandy Crux weighs in, then seems to ask, "Why can't we just get along?":
CC -- You really do like to sound threathening [sic]. I have no idea what your problem is.
But, speaking of Randle Reef -- plans are proceeding. Here is an update:

If you have any other disagreements, feel free to e-mail me at scruxofthematter[at]gmail[dot]com and I'll check them out. If I find you are right and things have changed since I put up the items, I will delete them.
You know I think this whole hostility thing about conservative-oriented bloggers is just not necessary. Bloggers should be able to disagree with each other without being called every name in the book.
You should also not lump all conservatives together any more than progressives. We are all different. We all come from different backgrounds. In fact, there are many BT's I don't agree with. But, they are entitled to their opinions.
Frankly, I am a red tory which makes me progressive on most social, educational and disability issues.
In other words, I could just as easily be a Liberal -- as I have been in the past -- I just don't agree with anything the current party leader and his lack of a plan/platformabout where he would take the country if his party were asked to govern.
And, I actually agree with you that the situation regarding Suaad Hagi Mohammud was horrible and should never have happened.
However, we'll have to wait to see if it was the officials in the consulate who was at fault or if the orders came from Ottawa.
Either way, as you have said, what if she had not had her son to check on DNA? I am just glad she'll be home tonight.
I am off now for the rest of the weekend, so won't be back to check on other comments.
But, please, do lighten up!
How shall we give Sandy the public spanking she deserves? Let's start here, where Sandy is claiming -- as an "accomplishment" of the Harper government -- something that is not even close to being done and which violates her own definition of an "accomplishment."
(As an aside, one should note Sandy's level of astonishing cluelessness in constantly and relentlessly moving blog posts and blogs around to the point where links to her idiocy are always breaking and one can't possibly keep up with where she's moved her content this time. But I grow snarky. Onward.)
But wait, it gets better.
Because, in defending the taking of credit for the cleanup of Randle Reef, Sandy writes in that second comment above, "But, speaking of Randle Reef -- plans are proceeding." Which is not only irrelevant, but it shows how dishonest Sandy is because she was claiming it as an "accomplishment" way back when, before it ever started. The (irrelevant) fact that Randle Reef work is underway now doesn't stop Sandy from being a liar back then, does it? Ah, but we're just getting started.
Consider Sandy's attempt at honesty and accountability when she writes:
Someone told me you were still going on and on about my HG accomplishment list regarding Arctic patrol boats, etc.
Well, my no longer anonymous friend, you are obviously the one who is lying since I took your advice a year ago and removed those items.
Tch, tch. You really ought to pay more attention.
And you, Sandy, should appreciate that, since those Arctic patrol boats never, ever existed, claiming them as an "accomplishment" was dishonest rubbish from the beginning. You don't get credit for finally acknowledging that I was right. Rather, you get slagged for being such a liar for as long as you were. Make sure you understand why you're such a useless hack, Sandy -- you were, on behalf of Stephen the Corpulent, taking credit for things which did not exist, and now you're moving on to wanting the credit for finally fessing up to your dishonesty? What an awesome gig. Where can I get a job like that?
So, what else can we mock from Sandy's list of Harper Government accomplishments? Hey, how about this one?
# Debt reduction – of $37 billion since the start of the first Conservative mandate — an item that remains on this accomplishment list because those payments will have a positive impact on the total debt regardless of the current recession-based deficit
Yeah, the one where Sandy takes credit for the annual surplus that the Conservadroids simply inherited from the Liberals, while refusing to accept any of the blame for the deficit that happened on their watch. It's amusing, isn't it? Everything is the Liberals' fault, until it comes time to give them credit. Then the rules suddenly change. How utterly unsurprising.
Ah, but here's the funniest of Sandy's "accomplishments":
# Fixed Election Dates – An Act to Amend the Canada Elections Act (Bill C-16), passed May 3, 2007 is an Act primarily for majority governments since minority governments can fall at any time
Yes, that would be the fixed elections date legislation, for which the Harperites are apparently to be given credit, despite their almost immediate violation of that legislation. Quite the "accomplishment" there, Sandy (for which I gave Sandy a good spanking back here, just in case you cared).
I could go on, oh Lord, I could go on, but what's the point? Sandy lives on another planet, and is quite impervious to the lance of mere reason and logic. She invites comments to correct the record, but will stupidly mock, then delete, any such comments. Having this discussion with Sandy Crux would be as productive as arguing with a bag of cat litter. And a lot less entertaining.
P.S. Sandy is now frantically suggesting that she wasn't claiming the repatriation of Suaad Hagi Mohamud as a Harper government "Accomplishment." Really? So how should one interpret:
Introducing HGR [Harper Government Record]: Ms. Mohamud’s homecoming
Sometimes, you really just need to let the English language speak for itself, don't you think?
P.P.S. Sandy has actually and publicly called for feedback on her list, and invited readers in my comments section to drop her a note at "scruxofthematter[at]gmail[dot]com". Can anyone imagine a more worthless investment of time?
UPDATE: There is just so much crunchy, wingnutty goodness in Sandy's list. I just noticed this one way down at the bottom:
# Visa requirements lifted for up to six month visits — to Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania and Hungary (Link)
And yet, while we are to give the Stephen Harper Party of Canada credit for lifting some visa requirements, we look through Sandy's list in vain for any mention of the imposition of visas on other countries. How delightfully ... selective.
YOU HAVE NO IDEA how long I could keep this up. Here's one of my faves, in which Sandy displays her ignorance of how Canadian politics works.
Don't bother trying to follow the link contained therein. See above.

Has #37 - the Home Renovation Tax Credit been approved by Parliament? Is the omission of such a trivial detail false advertising or an accomplishment?
If Sandy is a Red Tory then I am a Dalek.
What really upsets me about Sandy is that she's a "teacher."
My one and only argument with her happened when she was running her old blog. She posted a story about how 1/3 of Canadians in a survey were happy with Harper's leadership up to that point.
Somehow, Sandy interpreted a portion of respondents who were undecided or unsure as meaning they were happy with Harper too ("Because they're not UNhappy!") and boosted the number to 2/3.
When I pointed out how disingenuous she was being and how she failed at basic math, she edited my comment without my consent and only posted the part she wanted to respond to. After that cowardly exchange, I chose never to waste my time with that harpy (*rimshot*) again. I've looked for that post, but it's down the memory hole, as is the rest of her old blog.
As a teacher myself, it bugs me to no end how bad a name she gives the rest of us. She claims to be an educator yet spreads misinformation in the name of her Conservative ideals. She's an embarrassment to educators everywhere.
Also, aren't #1 - The Accountability Act and #48 - The Lobbying Act part and parcel? Methinks SCrux is gently padding her list....
