Sandy Crux: Not quite getting the point.

Blogging Tory and Stephen Harper fluffer Sandy Crux can't quite figure out what the kids are all a-Twitter about:

Is Twitter a complete waste of time?

Maybe its because I am older and don’t have any time to waste.

I don't know, Sandy ... someone who has time to keep updating this steaming turd really has no right to be whining about being overly busy, know what I'm sayin'? Ah, but the monstrous stupidity is just beginning:

As before, at first it seems fun. You get the short tweet messages from people you know and respect.

Good, good ... so far, you seem to have the hang of this, Sandy. Uh oh ...

Then, however, people start “following” you who have nothing much to say apart from daily trivia.

EPIC FAIL! Oh, Christ, it just gets stupider ...

Similarly, you start to follow other people and your own messages leave much to be desired.

So Twitter is a bad idea because Sandy Crux is screamingly retarded and has nothing to say of any value. Got it. Can Sandy possibly get any dumber? You had to ask:

However, before you know it, you find you have to check your account a couple of times a day. Then, it becomes several times a day. And, it can take an hour or more just to read everyone’s tweet. But, out of the hundreds of such messages I read, not one was something I could write about here. Although I did get tweets about posts other bloggers had put up. But, I already check on those blogs everyday anyway!

Brilliant, Sandy! Because, given that someone else has a blog, why in God's name would you possibly want to follow them on Twitter? That's just weird! Fellow BTer Gerry Nicholls (the smartest blogger in all of bloggerdom -- just ask him) tries desperately to get Sandy to clue in:

It’s an acquired taste.

At first, I didn’t know what to make of Twitter.

Kind of let it go for awhile.

But now I find it an excellent resource for finding out what think tanks and individuals are up to.

It’s just a matter of following the right people or groups.

Sadly, Sandy still hasn't managed to distinguish between following and having followers:

Gerry — You must have to block an awful lot of potential “followers.” I was only new at it and had to spend a great deal of time doing that. But, I suppose a message about the release of a report, etc., would be helpful. Glad it has worked out for you.

Ah, but here's the entertainment value, back in Sandy's main post:

So, I decided to delete the account before I became too involved – first changing the user and e-mail to “sandyinontario” so that if ever I changed my mind (I won’t) I could use “cruxofthematter” again.

Oh, I don't think so, dear. Let the Canadian Idiotsphere outrage over "stealing" someone's online identity begin in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...

You know it's coming.
