Um ... OK, that's weird.

Let me see if I understand this -- the Stephen Harper Party of Canada, elected on a platform that included "transparency" and "accountability", is willing to force an election in order to avoid being, well, transparent and accountable.

Do I have that right? Really, I'm hoping I don't have that right. Because if I have that right, that's totally fucking retarded and douchebaggy.

Maybe it's just me but does anyone else get the feeling Big Daddy's looking for an election that he just might lose? One that would, of course, leave the Liberals in charge of cleaning up the economic mess that he and his merry band of retards have made over the last 3 years?

I don't think it's just me ...

Actually, no. I don't think 'Big Daddy' ever does anything with the intent of losing. People with narcissistic or megalomaniac personality disorders just aren't made that way.

Lulu,
I've had related thoughts lately. Whether it's the economic mess or simply that Harper sees a majority as too far away, so he might as find something else to do. His about-turn on spending, Afghanistan, etc suggests he's either quit, or thinks the only way to gain support is to move closer to Iggy's Libs.

The Stephen Harper Party of Canada has learned well from the George W. Bush Party of America.

I think it's a sign that Harper feels the coalition is dead and he can go back to playing brinkmanship politics whenever he runs into opposition.

Adam, that might be true, but the optics that Ignatiaff is backing him into? Dear god, what a mess.

"Ignatiaff: Can the government tell us what they are going to spend the Canadian Tax payers $3 Billion on?"

"Random CPC MP: No, we won't ... thhhhpppttt"

My god, the various ads write themselves...

WV: viruli

This is getting creepy.
