Sweet Motown Jesus and the Pips.

Five Feet of Pick Your Prejudice™ has a handgun license. Which probably makes her Five Feet of Armed and Really Fucking Dangerous™ to the city of Toronto as a whole.

Is it just me or does this speak volumes about the vetting process – and I use the term loosely – currently in place? I don’t think it’s just me.

Perhaps admitting my ignorance here, but don't you have to have special dispensation to get a handgun license in Canada?

What's Kathy's excuse? That everyone hates her so much they'd like to waste her? That strikes me as kind of self-inflicted circumstances.

I'm thinking of applying for a license myself. I can use the excuse that, since Kathy has one and she's a deranged psychotic, I really need to defend myself. I'm betting they'd at least consider that logic.

I've been worried about this for a while. She's manifestly unhinged, and now she'll be armed and unhinged.

As for all the attention she's getting, I suspect, alas, that she's revelling in it.

Heh. Shaidle is a middle-class, depressed, unemployable failed writer trying desperately to play the part of dangerous neocon radical. Nobody who tries SO hard to sound offensive can actually be too worrisome.

From Kathy Shaidle's mouth comes this gift: "I'd rather be right than 'nice.'" Nice answer next time someone complains about rough language.

Don't be suprized if her house gets burglarized now that she has announced in public that she owns a handgun. Drug dealers like handguns.

Guess we'd better chip in to buy her that short pink shotgun. :)

I wonder if she's one of those double agents?

"Handgun license"? What a doofus, she must mean a Restricted License.

Non-restricted and Restricted licenses can be acquired by anyone who can pass a couple of gun safety courses and doesn't have a documented history of instability, violence, insanity, or (of course) gun crime. The one that's hard to get is a Prohibited license.

Anyway, the license is the easy part -- getting the hardware to go with it is trickier. The local mosque is probably safe from 5feet's locked & loaded piece of paper.

I was going to mention that, but as usual JJ beat me to it. Although to be fair, a Restricted does involve a few more hoops for you to jump though.

And BTW... she lives in TORONTO? Holy fuck! Jeebus, Miller - get on that handgun ban NOW!!
