The mad, brilliant co-leader of The Cramps has passed at age 60.

Don't worry about it, Chet -- that's just the Ensure talking.

Spent some time reminiscing last night. Had the pleasure and honour of opening for The Cramps back in...
note to Chet: You feel old. I am old.

I'll only say the experience was very, very cool and also stranger than you think you can imagine.

A consummate entertainer. R.I.P. Lux.

Speaking of 'mad'.

The Cramps, punks, Californian mental patients. The concert of a nembutol delirium. The lines blur, everyone dances.

The Cramps in 1984 performing "The Way I Walk" live at Napa State Mental Hospital.

I saw them a total of three times live... and EVERY time was amazing. In my list of "Most Amazing Concerts EVAH" would be Screaming Blue Messiah with The Cramps at "The Concert Hall" (The Masonic Temple, The Temple, whatever they call it now...) in Toronto.

Sad time indeed... The world just got a little saner and that's for the worse...

...and yup, that age thing is BRUTAL.
