Dear Josef: Awkward much?

Not that long ago, commenter "Josef" was strutting around CC HQ with a wicked little woody for wingnut welfare case Tasha Kheiriddin. One wonders if Josef is having a little buyer's remorse this morning.

Man, that's gotta sting.

Conservatism provides an approach to solving public policy problems based on experience, tradition and prudence. It rejects the socialist notion that man — or his society — can be remade by government.

Who the hell is this woman and how the hell did she ever get a job lecturing at McGill?

Does she have any idea what conservatism is? Because anyone with half a knowledge about politics can tell you that conservatism is the exact opposite of what she just described.

Seriously, why do we even let these people talk in public forums anymore?

Kheiriddin said: Any student of history knows that conservatism is actually a reaction against ideological excess.

Yes! Yes! Yes indeedy doo! That's why absolutely every declamation from the Fraser Institute ends by prescribing tax cuts (or "tax relief") and cuts to social services, arts, pure research, but big handouts to big business. (Go ahead, find an exception, make my day.)

Just another instance of the neo-con strategy of solemnly saying in words the exact opposite of what they do in practice. Is there a formal name for this strategy? They've been doing it for decades, anyway.

BTW, ...why do we even let these people talk in public forums anymore... is sufficiently explained by the venue of the piece -- the good old National Post.

For bonus points, Kheiriddin : "If Mr. Harper wanted to remain in power, he could have presented a budget more respectful of conservative tradition, and then let the dealing begin."

Pick one, you can't have both. His original micro-budget last fall may not have been in the mythical "conservative tradition", but it was a distilled example of the "Harper tradition", and look where that got him -- near as damn all to being voted off the island.

I'm proud of Tasha for doing what she knows to be right rather than coddle up to the Official Right to get a Senate seat. I think frankly her independent streak cost her that one and good for her.

Anonymous said...

Josef, are you trying to say that she did not fellate Harper and that you are not the fluffer?

Was there even any talk about giving the vacuous one a senate seat?
You'd think that such a fright-winger would want to get away from socialist Canada at all cost, no?
Why does she even stay in this country? It seems to be everything she hates - or maybe she like the welfare she receives instead of getting a real work.

Until today, I had no idea who or what Tasha K is. I still don't, really, nor do I care.

Hahahahahahaha!

Overlord Tom Flanagan already issued the order recently, "Attack Harper from the right, it makes him look more moderate".

Looks like "The Tash" got the memo.

She's being extra enthusiastic because she did not follow the previous memo and thus was passed over for the Senate seat. Unlike Puffy Duffy, who is completely unqualified for the position, she does have a law degree and could theoretically be qualified to do what Senators are supposed to do, you know review laws.

She was supposed to agree not to accept the pay and pension, except for the free flight to appear once a year to maintain her seat. Otherwise she would continue her current work. She was supposed to be the poster child for the musical chairs game of holding the seats from the evil coalition while doing nothing with them, thus accomplishing by stealth (the tried and true Harper way) the goal of making the Senate completely ineffective.

@This Is Me Posting
As are most of the circle-jerking Canadian thinktankers she is most likely to be, at her very core, a neo-liberal rather than a true conservative.

And yes, I do expect that Josef will be by again shortly to tell me to suck it (in ALLCAPS, of course).

Ti-Guy said...

Why is it that conservatives don't seem to know what conservatism is? It's chronic with them. What Tasha's describing is chauvinism, not conservatism. Then again, what else can you expect from West Island douche?

Cameron Campbell said...

She's what, 35, 36? Are people that young going to be given the Senate seats that weren't ever never nope going to be given out now?

Granted, she's been onside now for a very very long time, but seriously.

Anonymous said...

Cameron how old is Brazeau? At least he sounds like a party animal...

Why is it the right-wing welfare nuts get into snits when it's suggested that they follow their own advice... Go get a job in the private sector instead of being a sponge on society...

Anonymous said...

Ti-Guy, there's a reason why it's called the "Waste Island" not the West Island anymore...

You too get the SUCK IT note. Tasha is no douche, she's trying to start a family and holds down a management job.

Now go SUCK IT!

And now Tina Fey will explain what SUCK IT means. No, it is not tits.

OH AND SUCK THIS CHANNEL UP, SUCKERS!

Tasha knows what she's doing. She is more man than a lot of men quite frankly, and is in the mold of George Washington, Marquis Lafayette and Chloe O'Brian.

SUCK THAT

Frank Frink said...

Sheesh.. are three comments really necessary to say 'Suck It' when, after all, it's only two words?

I leave KEvron to discuss and dissect the 'mold' metaphors.

Hey that's uncalled for. Nobody called her an Ann Coulter.

and is in the mold of George Washington, Marquis Lafayette and Chloe O'Brian.
No, she is in the mould of George W. Bush, the Marguis de Sade, and Chloe Sevigny (of Brown Bunny fame).

She should have stuck with Tom's plan and refused the pay and pension, then simply help fulfill the FlanaHarper's plan to make the Senate non-functional.

she's trying to start a family
So she fucks....

More man as in more macho, more courageous, more resourceful and more frankly Bauer. Suck that.

Oh and did you suck the Tash on YouTube channel yet?

Rev.Paperboy said...

Dear ghod, has anyone looked at the daisy-chaining in the comments at the "piece"? I don't know how Werner and Josef managed to type so many commments one-handed without getting carpal tunnel.

Kheiriddin probably sucked some old guy's dick in order to become a director at the Fraser Institute.

"suck it" is used in lieu of something that rhymes and starts with f. I take it sarcastically (as I hope it was intended).

CC said...

You know, if Tasha suspects she's being stalked these days but doesn't know who it is, I think we might be able to help her out.

Obsess much, Josef?

Anonymous said...

No, I just keep in touch once in a long while. She knows I run googles on her great punditry once every say other week.

Anonymous said...

Well Josef, today the suckulent (or is it succulent) Tasha was on the CBC radio.
Why does she even bother with socialist radio? Can't she get welfare at some other place?

Anonymous said...

By Cherniak_WTF, at 5:43 PM

She is just getting her message out the same you are, asshole. Why don't you suck up the TashaKheiriddinFan channel as we are all here to promote liberty?

And if you hate the CBC, then tell your honey Iggy to recommend it get a budget cut.

SUCK THAT

Anonymous said...

Wow Josef, I wonder in what world the Frasier Institute (via one who's trying to start a family) needs to comment on the freak of nature that gave birth to 8 babies on a government run radio station. I thought that all frightwingers just hated the CBC and would have nothing to do with it... Tasha is a welfare wingnut that if she really believed in what she talks about would go to her capitalist utopia. Instead one gets the feeling that she like "privatizing the profits and socializing the losses" - all capitalists do after all...

Last two commentators: I guess you either really believe or don't in free speech and free association of people to donate to a foundation to push for free markets. SUCK THAT.

liberal supporter said...

Mocking "The Tash" is now violating free speech? No, it's only violating your wish to spew your repugnant views with impunity.

And the "foundation" has charitable status, so I am subsidizing its drive to make markets more free for the richest people to exploit with impunity.

And you get government grants for your side. Ludicrious.

You're just a whiner. Now suck your eyes' tear ducts outta yeah whino.

liberal supporter said...

And you get government grants for your side. Ludicrious.

Which government grants are you referring to? The ones that pay the police so I don't have to have an arsenal in case you decide to shut me up by force?

Which grants are you referring to for "my side" and how is it hypocritical to take them, when I support government being more than operators of debtors prisons?

You on the other hand have not addressed the fact that the Fraser Institute is against government handouts, yet is receiving same due to its charitable status. Not "ludicrious" though, since hypocrisy is completed expected from far right wingers trying to pass themselves off as conservative.

You're just a whiner.

And you are a failed publicist. I hope "The Tash" gets a refund for your incompetence. You lost her a chance at a Senate seat, and now you're all sour grapes.

Now suck your eyes' tear ducts outta yeah whino.

You have a knack for working a certain verb into every comment you make. It does describe what the Fraser Institute and other wingnut welfare outfits do though.

Jesus H. Christ, Josef. I tell you to stop pimping that ho bag's You Tube channel, and the next thing you do is leave a comment pimping her You Tube channel.

Are you obstinate, or just stupid?

liberal supporter said...

Considering the unanswered questions that remain, I think he was literally trying to change the channel...

Since apparently the junior version of the CHRC is here, here goes:

"F--- off and suck it too, CC. I just feel the love. [/sarcasm]

I would like liberal supporter to realize that not just does the Fraser have charitable status, but also the Suzuki Foundation & the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives among other lefty progressive think tanks. Frankly, this is not true wingnut welfare. It would be if EzraLevant.com, SmallDeadAnimals.com and conservative YouTube channels as well as this blog got handouts.

Tasha has worked her way to where she is. Literally. I wish you clowns would go after PMSH or another nutty politician. And frankly, this will torque people off, but anybody on BloggingTories.ca is fair game."

Your fixation on a YouTube channel being noted here is frankly nutty. Frankly you should join a Human Rights Clowncil's staff... oh that's right, you're too incorrigible to mute speech.

Ummm.. Josef? Confused much? This is CC's house, his rules. His beach, his wave.
