With wankers, patience is a virtue. Lots and lots of patience.

Outgoing Secretary of State and docile White House Negro Condoleezza Rice doesn't want anyone to rush into that whole "Bush legacy" thing:

What is more important than current controversies, she argued, slapping the table for emphasis, is how the decisions will look 25 or 30 years from now. "If you get very focused on whether someone thinks your policies are popular, you won't do the right thing," she said.

Because rushing to judgment on stuff like the performance of the Bush administration is really, really irresponsible and, you know, premature and everything.

In unrelated news, I think we can all agree that the administration of Barack Obama is an unmitigated and unqualified disaster, despite the fact that he hasn't actually taken office yet.

She does have a point. I mean, torture, indefinite detention, illegal wiretapping and all around incompetence might be something that appeals to Americans 25 or 30 years from now. Hell, that already appeals to one third of Americans now.

What's important to me is that the US no longer has to deal with the problems Bill Clinton caused. Our current problems have been caused by Obama.

In short, the GOP wants us to believe the Bush legacy won't be clear for at least another 20 years but it is clear the Clinton legacy ain't good.

That's usually when they start declassifying the documents, right?

This is assuming there is a United States in twenty years.

Something I'm inclined to doubt more and more.

Disgusting. Yes, I know your intent. You still fail.
