You keep using that word "accountability" ...

In which CPoC candidate Lisa Raitt invites your comments, then tells you to fuck right off. If this surprises you, you haven't been paying attention.

AH, THE EYE-ROLLING IRONY
: Someone who presumes to lecture you on "leadership" has closed comments on every post on her blog. Which is somewhat inconvenient, since how am I supposed to let her know that she is a snivelling, cowardly, hypocritical douchebag? No problem, I'll figure something out; I enjoy a challenge.

Maybe I'll mail her a brick.

I just happened to be reading my favorite book and this is what it has to say about leadership.

__________

LEADRSHIP "Why is there such a dearth of good leaders? Because we're in a leadership crisis." This is the chorus of the modern lament.

The proverbial wise foreigner - Swift's giant King of Brobdingnag or Montesquieu's Persian in Paris writing home - would probably note that this is a curious obsession for democracies to harbour. Democrats are supposed to be obsessed by their own participation and that of the citizenry in general. Leadership, after all, is the cry of unevolved, craven peoples frightened by the idea of individual responsibility. The sort of people who desire nothing better than a god or divinely inspired chief to hold them to his bosom, or better still hers, for protection and reassurance.

__________

Too bad the people currently pretending to be conservatives don't do any of their own thinking.

Quite the interesting contrast to Garth's blog where — love him or hate him — people from all over Canada come to berate him (not always of course, but a lot).

Why doesn't Janke "bust" this wanker for having closed comments and being a hypocrite? Oh right... she's one with the HiveMind. Silly me.

Did you catch that the Tory trolls turned the "Blog Death Watch" into a candidate "death watch"?
