When even the Americans can figure it out ...

Slate's Christopher Flavelle asks a depressing question:

What's the Matter With Canada?

How the world's nicest country turned mean.

And stupid, Christopher. Really, really goddamned stupid. Don't forget that part.

But, but, but ... Big Daddy says Canada's back, back I tell you.

What does some latte-sipping, librul member of the eeeeevil Emm Ess Emm know?

You might think of Canada as the un-America, where the only debate ought to be whether to spend the country's growing oil wealth on faster snowmobiles, bigger hockey rinks, or Anne Murray box sets.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ...

I stopped reading there.

Seriously, Twats, if you write stuff that isn't retarded crap, people will stop by to read it. Really, try it sometime. Now go away and stop being such a whore.

Patrick Ross said...

No, I don't think so.

I'm going to stay right here and remind your readers how stupid you think they are.

And I'm just going to keep on doing it indefinitely.

CC said...

Yes, Twatsy, I'm sure they'll get a great deal of extra information from your contribution: "Oh, look, CC linked to this article."

Good thinking, Twats, since none of them could have figured that out on their own, is that it?

P.S. Good luck in that job search, Twatsy. Let me know which fast food outlet you end up working at.

Frank Frink said...

Just in case Twatrick needs an example and cautionary tale.

It wasn't that long ago that the first thing an employer would do to vet potential hires was run their names through Google to see the extent of their online footprint. Now, most employers don't even bother with Google, they go straight for MySpace and Facebook to gauge the personality and professionalism of potential candidates.

Patrick Ross said...

Ho, please.

You can continue fantasizing about some grand ability to destroy my career all you want.

I can safely say from the results of my job search that you've failed.

Just like you've failed to respect the intelligence of Canadians, now failed to be honest in regards to that, and generally failed as a human being.

How does it feel to have just proven that you're exactly everything I've always said you are?

Patrick Ross said...

And as for Frank Frink, well, I'm afraid that particular joke writes itself.

...I'm also unsurprised that he doesn't seem to take offense to Cynic's characterization of Canadians as stupid. Clearly, he agrees with that sentiment.

CC said...

You're wasting your breath, Frank ... we've been down this road with Twatsy before and he somehow thinks he is entirely immune from having been a drooling twatwaffle for the last several years.

Don't worry ... any potential employers will figure things out in short order. And the fact that he condones the murder of abortion doctors ... yeah, I'm pretty sure that's not going to play well during the initial interview. I'm just sayin'.

Patrick Ross said...

Honestly, now, Cynic (and although we all know you're incapable of honesty) how many times do I have to warn you about your libellous comments?

You're really just piling up evidence in the afidavit here. I hope you realize that.

Frank Frink said...

No skin off my teeth, CC, or any expense of breath. Just came across that article yesterday, bookmarked it, and somehow knew it would be timely.

liberal supporter said...

PR: Do you or do you not support of condone the killing of abortion doctors.

Yes or no?

CC said...

Oh, yawn, Twats ... threats? Puhleeze. But when you hire that high-priced lawyer on your Taco Bell salary, make sure you tell him that I only take the time to point out what kind of hideous cretin you are when you show up here and won't take the hint to fuck off when invited to. Then see what he says.

Oh, and Twats? I wouldn't be giving any of your friends any legal advice if I were you. For their sake.

Patrick Ross said...

Just keep doing what you're doing in regards to that accusation, CC.

Just keep building me a nice, solid case. It's solid enough already, but I do enjoy being the better person and warning you before filing any paperwork.

And I wouldn't worry about any "Taco Bell salary" if I were you. Let's just say that I'm doing a'ight, and we'll leave it at that.

By the way, while you're at it, you might want to get yourself an education regarding libel law. Either that, or just keep giving me a better and better case.

Your choice.

Patrick Ross said...

Also, I'm unsurprised that liberal supporter, like Frank Frink, clearly agrees with Canadian Cynic's opinion that Canadians are stupid.

Yeah, indeed. Some jokes do write themselves.

Patsy, you precious cretin, the fact that you've never denied that you condone the murder of abortion doctors, even when explicitly asked to do so, would lead a reasonable person to assume that you're just fine with the idea of abortion doctors being murdered.

And since "reasonable belief" is an acceptable defence against defamation aka libel then it looks like everyone here is covered. Is there anything else I can help you out with this evening, you sadly pretentious mouthbreather?

Cameron Campbell said...

Patrick,

This constant threat of legal action lost it's bite about two or three months ago and about the time that anyone with a brain realized that A) You haven't a legal leg to stand on and B) you have a very thing grasp on what is even actionable.

It is well and truly past time for you to put up or shut up.

Ti-Guy said...

I'm actually starting to like Twatsy. He's becoming part of the community.

ROTFL

How is it that I'm so utterly surprised that Lulu, of all people, would respond in such a fundamentally dishonest fashion?

And I'll point out that this isn't merely a passing dishonesty -- it's a blatant lie.

After all, you can try to plead ignorance all you like. But the simple fact of the matter is that I've made my opposition to attacks on abortion clinics clear on numerous occasiona.

And as much as you'll now lie and try to plead ignorance, the fact of the matter is very different. After all, you and your blogmates read and responded to a number of these posts.

Which only renders this particular lie:

"And since "reasonable belief" is an acceptable defence against defamation aka libel then it looks like everyone here is covered. Is there anything else I can help you out with this evening, you sadly pretentious mouthbreather?"

...all the more hilarious. You have precisely no bases covered. Because you're lying, and you know it.

Which is nothing more than anyone expects from you -- the most fundamentally dishonest comments possible at any given time.

So my advice to you is this: if you really want to find out how sadly (yet hilariously) actionable you are on this entire affair, just go ahead and continue doing what you're doing.

I won't pretend that it won't bring me intense pleasure to sit your pathetic asses on a witness stand, then watch you squirm while the fundamental dishonesty and malice of this lie is paraded out in public.

I must say, that's awfully brave of you, Cameron, considering that you aren't the person who would be the subject of such legal action.

Considering that you obviously know nothing about libel law -- or law in general -- I would advise you to not give me legal advice... for Cynic's sake.

Cameron Campbell said...

Patrick,

At a certain point your constant threats of legal action could be construed as a form of harassment. My point was that you really need to actually do something soon, or risk loosing what the tiny shred of dignity and credibility you have left.

That you didn't understand what I was saying and responded in the way that you always do to any comment (belligerently, filled with the righteous indignation that only a complete fucktard can muster) directed at you doesn't come as a shock. Still, I find myself disappointed. You claim to be a student, you'd think that at some point you'd have developed an ability to, you know, learn .

*yawn*

Does anyone else find it fascinating that Patsy has a terrible tendency to leave his most devastating (in his mind) arguments in the middle of the night?

How ... Freudian.

You need apparently need to learn the meaning of the word "harassment", Cameron.

You want to talk about harassment, Cameron? here's a good example.

So you want to talk to me about "credibility and dignity", Cameron?

Why don't we discuss the credibility and dignity of someone who, on his Blogger profile, claims to work in education, yet chooses to associate with someone who encouraged people to stalk a political opponent's children at their school as his chosen method of criminal harassment.

How about the "credibility and dignity" of someone who knows that Canadian Cynic is dead to rights on this libel issue, and yet can actually muster the temerity to taunt someone into going ahead and filing suit?

It sounds to me like you've got all the "credibility and dignifty" of the typical schoolyard bully's toadie. Which is pretty much the role you've chosen -- and I'm going to reiterate that to ensure you get the point, you've chosen that role for yourself -- to cast yourself in here.

PR: bring it on. Or fuck off.

Your "I am building a dossier" type statements are simply low grade intimidation. If you truly believe you are being defamed or libeled, there is a specific procedure to follow to give notice. If you do not follow this process, then your case falls apart.

Most importantly, you must follow the process in a timely manner. If you do not, you are not accepting Libelous Words as being true, but you are indicating that you are not being damaged materially by them.

As for your talk about others being bullies, you sir, are the bully here. You take the words of others (such as you would find here), then make some massive rant on your blog about it, then come back here to issue combative smears, all for the purpose of getting people to visit your blog.

Then when someone from here mocks your words, you shriek libel.

The only problem is, this activity actually gets more hits to your site, and increases your potential for adsense revenue.

You would be more successful suing CC after a prolonged spell of his neglecting you. Notice that he has little to say about you unless you are attacking him or trolling his blog. Therefore, if you were to stop being such a combative ignoramus, CC would ignore you, and you could sue him for reducing your adsense revenue by not linking you.

Yes I know the last paragraph doesn't make a lot of sense, but I try to match my comments to the sense level of whoever I am responding to.

Cameron Campbell said...

You don't have him dead to rights or you'd have filed.

LS seems about spot on about all the libel law based on what I learned back in the day in Journalism school.

As for your comments about my blogger profile (thanks for visiting.. nice picture eh?) I don't "claim" to work in education.

Your hassassment link is interesting, in that it contains "Repeatedly following from place to place another person or anyone known to that other person; "... umm.. where is this comment thread again? Who's threatening whom with legal action again.. I get so turned around sometimes.. I think it's the fumes from the stinking pile of bullshit.

One of your other contentions is that I (and others) have entered into a matter that is between you and CC et al. While I find it hard to understand how you can claim some sort of privacy when you insist on doing your communications on this matter via public chat forum (and not via email or, say, a lawyers letter) I do find the irony of you bringing up a matter between CC et al and another blogger just delicious. So speaking of "casting" oneself somewhere.. well..

Anyway, you're so full of piss and vinegar that you can't even see helpful advice/criticism as anything but an attack... I do hope I'm wrong (for you sake, I have no intrinsic motivation for caring) but I think you're beyond help.

Would everyone please stop picking on Twatsy? He's busy trying to learn arithmetic. And geometry. And, apparently, law.

All with hilariously disastrous results.
