Things you will never hear me say again.

Kathy Shaidle is absolutely, bang dead-on with this one:

... [Briston Palin getting pregnant at 17] makes the Palins look really really tacky and low class.

We should want people better than "tacky and low class" in the White House. I left Hamilton to get away from tacky, low class people and their pregnant teenagers. Now they're all over my damn television.

We criticized Bill Clinton for helping kids think "oral sex wasn't real sex." But we're all cool with this? Kids will say, "So? Whatsername's pregnant."

When it's "one of us" we're all suddenly "compassionate" and "forgiving" and "oh but that's different"?

It is really funny seeing social conservatives turning themselves inside out to excuse/explain this because now it is someone on "our" side.

Sometimes, being a shrieky, hateful harpy can be handy -- it gives you the freedom to despise everyone equally and consistently. Go figure.

ON THE OTHER HAND
, SUZANNE is once again being as stupid as a bag of cat litter. I'm not even going to bother eviscerating that bit of idiocy -- it's retardedness should be howlingly self-evident.

I'm always impressed by the capacity of these long-distance counsellors to delve so deeply, and with such sensitivity and insight, into the psyche of total strangers, root around in their most private and intimate recesses, and emerge with insights that miraculously confirm their own stunted worldviews.

Shaidle, Right Girl and SUZANNE - a trifecta of smug, judgmental ideologues, each twisted by demons they can't even see, but each prepared to tell us how God wants US to live.

My home of Hamilton does lead the nation in obesity and teenage pregnancies. It's also gone downhill in a lot of other ways. But I guess there was some improvement recently. I just heard Kathy Shaidle used to live here, but now she doesn't.

Hooray!!

Wierd little stoat, how appropo.
This shit passes for civil, enlightened conversation.

I worry how far the ability to discern adult conversation has deserted the average adult, in Hamilton, in Alberta, in the right mentali-sphere(?) and most of all the media. The absolute hollow and assinine reparte that passes as discourse, respectable discourse at that....

Yet. Yet. Spell something wrong, or swear, mere syntactical error, that is an eggregious outrage.

This is what happens when lazy fucks all sink to the lowest common denominator where it comes to critical thinking.

Call me a terrorist, label me a baby killer, insinuate my death, poison my character. These can have devastating consequences for me in real life.
If I mispell, or cuss, that is what these feeble miscreants consider evil and unacceptable, however.

She's right in the last quoted paragraph. The rest of it is her usual, mean-spirited tripe - it's just directed (mostly) at an unusual target.

I think she's just annoyed that Hamilton has gone so far NDP these days. Funny how the far right can't seem to connect with Johnny Lunchpail and Molly Housecoat any more, isn't it? Think Kathy ever wonders why that is?

mikmik so true, the best comment I have read all day.

Why do people have to be so judgemental?

Why is it so difficult to just accept people as they are?

People make mistakes, live with it Kathy.

I guess if anyone knows all about "magical thinking" it would be SUZANNE.
