Does life get any better than this?

Opening lines to put a smile on your face:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Even for a party whose president suffers dismal approval ratings, whose legislative wing lost control of Congress and whose presidential nominee trails in the polls, it was a remarkably bad day for Republicans.

I'd ask Canada's Blogging Tories what they think of this spectacular, right-wing meltdown south of the border, but I won't because ... because ... oh, what's that reason again ... oh, yeah -- because I don't give a rat's ass what any of those insufferable, illiterate retards think. Right, that was it.

O.M.F.G. The Seer comments below:

Fox News reports that Mc Cain has gotten all sides together. While we don't have a deal yet, they're so close to a deal McCain is going to be able to do the debate tonight.

So, if I read this correctly, after McCain parachutes in to allegedly save the day, makes a clusterfuck of everything and almost scuttles the deal, and they manage to get a bail-out agreement in spite of him, he's going to be given credit for shepherding it through?

Fuck, that's brilliant. And you have to hope the Dems' rapid-response team is on the ball, and is ready for that rancid bit of dishonesty.

Nothing I can say would do justice to the feat John McCain has just feated. So I'm just going to report and let you decide.

Why should they? The Democratic machine is as much an integral component of the plutocracy as the Republican one.

This is no time for evolution or cleansing, or a moment of clarity or even a free market correction. This is America remember, where nothing ever changes.

Yes! Yes! Yes! It can get better.

McCain has already won the debate. See the screenshot from 10:16 EDT Friday morning:

Well, in the sense that everyone hates him, blames him for the mess they're in, and all agree that he's lower than dogshit on your shoe...and then taking into account that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"...yeah, I guess you could say that he "got all sides together."

Hell, that's no accomplishment. Something as mindless as a forest fire can unite rabbits with foxes for the time it lives.

Good point.
