Do as I say, not as I do.

Big Daddy’s pontifications upon hearing of the 31 summons issued by the Ethics Committee investigating Conservative election spending (emphasis gleefully added):

The summonses were being hand-delivered by bailiffs retained by the committee. The committee would require approval by the Commons to compel witnesses to appear if they ignore the summonses, Szabo said.

The opposition majority on the committee authorized Szabo to use summonses during a raucous meeting last month.

That meeting and a separate inquiry into the resignation of former foreign affairs minister Maxime Bernier prompted a warning from Harper last week his government would not stand for "kangaroo court" committee hearings when Parliament resumes in September.

So what kind of heinous fuckery did his merry band of petulant, in-and-out hypocrites get up to this morning?

Parliamentary hearings into the Conservative in-and-out scheme got off to a raucous start Monday, with a top Tory being ejected after refusing to leave voluntarily.

Doug Finley, who ran the party's 2006 election campaign, was escorted from the Commons ethics committee room by security guards after 20 minutes of wrangling between Tory MPs and Liberal committee chair Paul Szabo.

Finley surprised committee members by showing up three days before he was scheduled to appear - in what seemed to be an orchestrated attempt to create controversy.

What a difference a week makes, huh? Remember, boys and girls — it's only bad when the Liberals do it, otherwise IOKIYAHC.
