Apparently, gathering evidence can be annoyingly time-consuming.

Blogging Tory and hopeless ideological hack Sandy Crux begins with some wide-sweeping generalizations:

Given that far too many of Ontario’s school boards’ elected trustees cannot be trusted to manage the public interest regarding board budgets and what goes on in Ontario’s schools, ...

OK, then ... and some actual corroboration for that accusation might be ... ah, there we go:

Yesterday, for example, Ontario’s Education Minister Kathleen Wynn, had to take over the Toronto Catholic Board’s financial affairs by appointing school finance expert Norbert Hartmann, because she no longer had confidence in the ability of its trustees to do what needed to be done. (I wrote on this last month here.)

From which, given this single actual example of financial malfeasance and lack of accountability (on the part of the Catholics, no less), we can conclude ... of course:

No doubt many other Ontario boards have also been found to be negligent in their public responsibilities. And, just try to imagine how much all these trustees are costing — money that could be going to school resources — such as membership fees in their associations, their stipends, attendance at conferences and retreats and mileage.

Naturally. Because, given that the Catholics have been shown to be greedy, irresponsible little piggies at the trough, there are "no doubt" many others who are doing the same thing, and we can only "imagine" the widespread taint and corruption -- that is, we have to "imagine" it since Sandy unfortunately doesn't provide any other actual examples but, well, we can just imagine.

Yes, boys and girls, it's Sandy Crux, whose idea of corroboration is simply making shit up. Just imagine.

I guess it would be about equally correct to extrapolate that Christians as a whole are corrupt thieves.

What, she didn't go there? Whyever not?

What I can't help but wonder is this: if Mr. Harper's first response to the situation of his foreign affair's minister's biker gal is "move along, nothing to see here", and then it is discovered that there WAS something to see there, then what other inappropriate and compromising cabinet activities may have been going on that he has been more successful in covering up? The bigger and more opaque the bedspread, the more likely there is a heffalump under it.

considering that sandy crux worked at the behest of mike harris, sworn enemy of education in ontario, she should shut her disingenuous pie hole.
