Hilarious. The map where it claims to be isn't where it states it is. The map is a section of Irvine, CA just north of the John Wayne Orange County Airport, but the address is in Northridge. Satellite photos of the area doesn't indicate anything that looks remotely like a campus.

Well, call the paramedics and keep the confetti in your pocket 'cause I'm going to die of not-surprise. What a tremendous douchebag - I really hope against hope that someone - anyone - will call him on that on record sometime.

Bene D linked to a post a while back exposing his possibly fraudulent and illegal donations schemes too - how making a donation to one of his registered "charities" may actually fund activities which are illegal to fund this way under CRA rules, because all donations for all of his schemes go to a single address, and they have no way of knowing for which organization it is for.

Yes, this guys is as dishonest as the day is long....

This is very odd. When I did a websearch I found another "Doctor" who is practising psychtherapy in Oakville, ON who claims to have received his degree from California State Christian University.

Dr. Trent Walker & Associates

I certainly wouldn't want this guy to be practising psychotherapy if he received his doctorate from this school.

And after doing more searching, here is another Canadian "Doctor"

Radiant Life Ministries See Helen Norris' bio.

Strange that there is a connection between Canadians and this school. I have to wonder if it is a fake credential that no one checks.

McVety also claims to have a honourary Doctorate in Letters from St Petersburg State University (See: Canada Christian College - McVety) If you do a websearch on that school, you'll find that the only school that comes up is in Saint Petersburg, Russia (formerly Leningrad State University).

Why would a prominent secular Russian university, who has Nobel Laureates on staff and Vladimir Putin and current President Dimitry Medvedev as alums, grant an honorary doctorate to a no-name Canadian Christian evangelist? And if so, why would he even need to list an unaccredited school in California?

More at Achievable Ends.

Y'know, considering how much space and time our credible media has devoted to Charles McVety, you'd think they'd have given this issue some attention by now.

For God's sakes, McVety sounds illiterate when he talks. The only thing we can conclude with a reasonnable degree of certainty is that, since he spent two years at U. of T (without graduating), he probably graduated high school.

...even then...
