How'd he do dat? I thought belugas could only breathe through the blowholes on top of their heads!
I don't know the sex of that individual. It's not breathing out the bubble, it's taking air from the SCUBA diver's regulator into its mouth, then expelling it, probably using its tongue.I wonder if the animal figured out how to do that by itself or was somehow trained. Training for that seems like a long process.
The belugas at the Vancouver aquarium also do that ring trick, without an assistant.
